Well, so far I like this program. But after downloading it is not registered. In the plugins list I only see “Days left: 15” And it is also the light version of this program :/
The Shareware-on-sale installer is not good. The built-in registration is not working. :(

[@Landei00] Most of the plug-ins are only available to use for 15 days from what I understand after installation.
I have found out after installation that we get the ‘Lite’ version too, there was no indication that we would not get the full version prior to that. The blurb on the SOS site is misleading when it states “..a handy portable code editor primarily intended for creating and editing PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript files for PHP websites, such as Drupal CMS, Joomla CMS, Smarty template engine, JQuery library, CodeIgniter framework, CakePHP framework, Laravel framework, Symfony framework, Yii framework and WordPress blogging platform. It includes debugger, dynamic help, advanced autocomplete, HTML inspector (like FireBug has), and so much more.” The blurb could have told us about a trip to the supermarket, it would have been more or less as relevant and useful/useless.
Sure, it does not say that you won’t be able to use it with Drupal, Joomla etc permanently. But it doesn’t say this is for a limited time only, which would be more honest.
Still, at least the SOS downloader worked for once today. I’ve complained about that on here a number of times before, so its only fair to state when it works. If SOS have tweaked the downloader it would be good to know as I nearly didn’t download this software as anything I’ve tried to download using it recently that was bigger than 10 MBs has failed, it would be good to know one way or another.

This program isn’t registered after the installation.
The program has only a few components registered; and because of the auto-registration that the SOS installer completes, I am unable to access the serial number. So even if I want to pay CodeLobster for the upgrade path to the pro version, I am unable to enter it. I think that the giveaway shouldn’t advertise the functionality of the software that isn’t actually available in this version OR it should actually register all the components for us. It looks like it would be a very cool program and I appreciate SOS for arranging its availability. Thanks in advance for any assistance (complete registration OR at the serial number for the LITE version that is registered) you can provide.

When you press ‘Help’ and ‘Registration’ it only says that you are running Lite Version. So you will not get the plugins for joomla , wordpress and so on.

Аналогичная проблема как и у пользователей выше. Вы обманули нас. Программу можно и без вашего сервиса скачать с сайта производителя в Lite версии.
Мне теперь не хочется пользоваться вашим сервисом (услугами) и вашими партнёрами!

Most of the ‘trial’ plug-ins appear to cover the majority of what the SOS blurb indicates we can do with this software, but that omits the temporary period of 15 days.
I’m sorry but your clarification doesn’t clear up what I was querying.
PS the recently introduced reCAPTCHA is a real pain, it doesn’t always load, if that fails I can’t post a comment. reCAPTCHA has been a pain since it first came out, I understand that you’re trying to stop spambots but you’re also stopping human comments. I’ve just been asked to select all images with street number in them, none did so I hit ‘verify’ I got asked to do the same again!!
[@Nick H] Not sure what you are referring to about the description. The description is accurate. It does not mention any plugin functionality. You can create / edit PHP and HTML and CSS and JS files and use with WordPress, Joomla, etc. without plugins.
As for CAPTCHA, unfortunately that is a necessary evil. It stops spam comments, but is a must.
I do not know if the title of this item changed after it was initially published, but the title I see now ends with ‘Lite’ so there should not be a question that this is the Lite version, which is a step up from the “free” version. That being said, as long as I have seen CodeLobster advertised, they have always given the user the ability to see what their Pro version can do with the additional plugins for a short time with the Lite version. Obviously, these are incentives to encourage sales of the Pro version. I started with the Free version, and when the opportunity presented itself to get the Lite version, I took it (the same as you have today). Later, when the opportunity presented itself, I purchased the Pro version at a discount. The Free version is a great editor, and the Lite version even better, and for 15 days, you get effectively a Pro version, so be happy!
