Works just fine in XP SP3, in spite of it not being listed ( MUST use default directory ).

PS — I use “Ultimate Zip” as the registration name so I can donate my old PCs without having to erase my name from everywhere.

    ?!?

    http://www.ultimatezip.com/products/

    Operating systems:

    Windows 8.1
    Windows 8
    Windows 7
    Windows Vista
    Windows Server 2016
    Windows Server 2012
    Windows Server 2008
Computer: Every computer which runs one of the above mentioned operating systems at a reasonable speed.
Disk Space Requirements:100 MB for the program files plus some additional space for backup files (minimal).
Miscellaneous: Multicore processor recommended for best speed.
    __________

AND, as I already shares, it works for me in XP SP3.
    __________

My question is — what version are they offering?

    From their web site:

UltimateZip 8.0 Personal Free <<– this is what we get Free?
    Lifetime free

    UltimateZip 8.0 Business or Enterprise
Premium Mail Support in german and english language within 24 Hours.
    MSI Setup.
    Cross-Upgrades.
    Special Discounts.
    Maintenance Upgrades.
24 month free or Pay&Forget (6 years free)

… I think I’d prefer the “free” free rather than the limited “24 month free” …

Marketing is NOT a German strongpoint!

    Win 7 32bit

Had 7Zip intalled. Instsructions say it will update, no need to uninstall 7. Installed as Admin. Now 7Zip AND 8Zip AND Zip Quick Start appear on Menu… BUT NONE of them will Start. Uninstalled and reinstalled and no bananas. What do I do?

I entered the registration number and the other information in the the instructions and it installed with no problems at all. Don’t plan to use it for a couple days, but I’ll let you now how it works.

I sometimes come across the ‘Folder/File paths too long’
EG if you have used Double Driver to backup your drivers, sometimes that limit is exceeded.
Can this zip program ‘handle them’ ?
Do other Zip programs ‘handle them’ ?

    Thanks for any feedback,
    Rob

Running on Windows 10 requires it to “Run as administrator”
