I’m a computer user for about 25 years. I needed tech support only very seldom and more often than not it was of no help. I see no need in updates if the program works. So such free versions are OK for me provided the program is good and has no serious bugs. Unlike trial versions with limited functionality which are good only if you contemplate the idea of buying a full version.
