At least it appears to work on raw image files.

The [ Effects and Filters ] section does not have an on-off toggle for each feature, as it is, you have to [ Cancel ] out of the entire selection control to deselect any choice, making it hard to browse and preview effects.

Printing is not very sophisticated, I’d have to open Windows Calculator to reverse measure how to resize the printout to fit a particular frame or mat, but ‘mm’ measurements suddenly appear when manually clicking and dragging on the preview image’s borders, so conversion of my frame / mat size to mm let’s me know what target to manually set … but there is no “remember this setting”.

There is a “straighten horizon, draw a line to rotate to level” feature, but there’s no on-screen alignment reference, and it only aligns to horizontal lines, not vertical lines, so straightening up a building viewed at it’s corner is nye on impossible.
ility to overwrite originals — NEVER OVERWRITE ORIGINALS, you lose image information with every resave!

No noise reduction.

It does not appear to have any cataloging or import or batch or web album connect features, but is only a “find it through windows explorer and edit one image at a time” program.

So, it opens one image at a time, can open raw, has some gross tweaking tools, can resize a print task with mm precision.

Otherwise … well, it’s not very sophisticated or competitive with even free Picasa ( downloadable from filehippo.com, filepuma.com, filehorse.com, download.com and so on, with add-ons, too ).
