I’m NOT plugging a program, and no I don’t work for whoever it is… but I get around all these fears of programs screwing up my system by running a thing called Shadow Defender. When I select my C drive only as the protected area, screw what things try to do, I just reboot and it’s gone. I have all my data on other drives, and only “shadow” my OS or C: drive. Works like a charm, and I can check out anything and just reboot if I don’t like. Everybody needs something like that, it just happens to be the one I know about. Worth looking at.
