In fact an easier way may be to use the Menus.txt file which is in the Artist installation folder.
It contains TABs, make sure you keep them. USe Notepad++ to view them (orange arrows).
File, File
File_New, New
File_Open, &Open…
File_Import, Import
File_In_Raw, Raw…
File_In_BMP, BMP…
File_In_Show plugins, Show plugins…
etc…
Leave the left part alone, try to change the right part (menu strings).
