Installed fine, registered, threw a pdf at it and it started to go to work.

I do wish it had some sort of progress indicator giving a percentage rather than just “converting” and at the end it exported the file but still said “error” but never gave me any error details.

Opening the file I found that it had just converted the pdf to jpg, so nothing was editable unfortunately, and this was when I had selected my output format as Word.

Selecting the output format as Text seemed to go a lot quicker but the conversion process of the same file left me with a blank .txt file. Trying several times got the same result unfortunately, plus there was no error message this time even though the conversion was obviously unsuccessful.

I tried another pdf and selected Text as the output and that worked. Using the same pdf and selecting Word as the output worked also and the document is editable.

Looks like the first pdf I tried is just a strange duck for some reason and I urge everyone to test things out for themselves thoroughly before passing judgement because if I hadn’t investigate further this might have gone into the “thanks but no thanks” bin!
