+ASHRAF – +Colin’s advice is sound but you are on secure legal grounds here in the U.S. However, it is a good idea to include a disclaimer on this and all your promotions, like the one used on your “old” SoS pages.

ASIDE: I much prefer the more compact “old” format that had a brief review of the featured software with visitors’ comments appearing below.

Regarding USB Hidden Copier: This program seems useless for any legitimate purpose and has too many peculiarities that make it look like it’s really intended to enable us to spy on and to steal data from people we PERMIT to use our computers. Nobody that asks for- and is given permission to use a friend’s/associate’s computer reasonably expects that their data will be copied. And, what about people who use portable USB sticks to store password-manager applications to store bank, webiste, credit card credentials, for example?

The argument that it speeds up automatically copying the computer owner’s OWN files/folders is just plain nonsense; a bald-faced lie. After this *spy/steal-ware* did its thing, all the copied data would have to be re-moved/copied again to appropriate document or video or audio or whatever folders, right? And, THEN, we would have to manually confirm the copied data’s integrity before taking still more time to manually delete the date from the USB device. How is this time-saving?

And, why is it coded to be “completely invisible” with no Notification-area or Start-menu icons; with hidden services? Who is it hiding from? Certainly not from the owner of the computer who has rights to his/her own data, right?

Even assuming this software is used legitimately and legally, besides usability, there are many other issues, namely:

1. It installs into the root of your system drive without any offer to install to “normal” locations like Windows Program or Program (86) Folders;
2. It creates another, strangely named folder (sysbackup) for copied files/folders, again in the root drive, rather than in a user-specified location or the more commonly used My Documents folder.
3. It installs a service that does NOT appear in the Services snap-in, on either of my Windows 7 64Bit systems, anyway. So, how do I legitimately monitor/control what it does besides trusting it to do so on its own? It does appear in Task Manager, though.
4. It is Version 2.1 – Sept_2014, not Version 3.0 Pro, as advertised.

I read and mostly enjoy your software reviewer’s offerings regualrly but think he muffed it today.
