@Everyone: This giveaway is back with fixed registration problems. Everyone should be able to get it now. However, note this is a ONE YEAR license (the developer misinformed us last time…)

    [ @Ashraf]

Thanks for clearing that up, Ashraf. Also a tip of the hat, in that I had started to suppose you might routinely be deleting comments that were not favorable, or which you did not like, but I see that mine was just re-routed to the forum here, which is fine.

I guess one year is better than nothing, and should be enough time to evaluate, but it would be nice if the developer had given us an accurate license description from the git-go. Truth be told, I had installed this back in 2015 (or whenever), and then pretty much forgot about it. When it would not load recently, I thought “WTF ?!” But I have a very well-stuffed toolbox of programs, and this ain’t the only one in the PDF category ! That includes a full-blown ver. 8 of the Adobe Acrobat that was available free for awhile online, but this late in the game you need to replace / update a few components of it to get it working, and I never got around to jumping through those hoops. So this time I will make a note not to wait.

One thing I saw in some reading about other Apex programs is that they apparently leave many disparate shards in various places, which don’t get removed when you uninstall them. Even removing everything “Apex” from your Windows Registry may not be sufficient. (This is not unique to their products, but it is a complication, and annoying.) If this re-release of the giveaway fails to take, that would likely be the reason. That may call for a good uninstaller program, which is much more thorough than the one built into Windows, or detailed uninstall instructions from the developer. Maybe the use of Bitrot Detector as well — another previous SOS giveaway.

[@Gene] Naw, I try to keep the reviews section to reviews only — comments belong in the forums. I agree, we scolded the developer for misinforming us before. They won’t do it again.
