How does this compare to previously giveaway of Snap 7? Is this newer? More limited? When these special giveaway versions that aren’t on the website are released, sometimes it’s hard to detect the differences :).

Hello all. I downloaded ashampoo all good. I did a reboot and lost the internet. Ok happens all the time, no worries. I ran win trouble shoot, not solution. Unplugged modem, no solution. Did a reboot, no solution. I uninstalled ashampoo and boom internet restored. Mr. Nelson can you shed some light on my situation?

    Thank you.
I regret the grayed out options for catches. This way, the screenshots are only saved in PNG-files and it is impossible to name the files otherwise than …”Ashampoo_Snap_$d1_$t_###_$n”
@ will : no problem of this kind here under win 8.1 !

I love these giveaways but the past couple of ones from Ashampoo don’t claim to be Windows 10 compatible as they are older versions that were released before 10 was. With everyone being forced to upgrade their systems to 10 it would be great to have software offerings that have a track record of working on it or say that they do.

Ashampoo is a good company and most of their products are also good. I used Snap 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. It was a great program, though it I think they overreached with version 7 & 8. These didn’t work well so I went back to version 6.

The only thing I didn’t like about Ashampoo as a company, or their policies: Whenever they make improvements, it’s a whole new version rather than an update so you have to buy the program again and again if you want to have the current version. I have several Ashampoo programs, and several versions of some of them, and had to pay for each version. Having said that, the fact that i was willing to purchase them over and over again does seem to indicate that I liked them and found them useful.

Ashampoo Snap не установилась на мою Vista! Хотя на предыдущей странице я ставил галочку под свою ОС.

I’m a fan of the company and its products. I was debating whether to upgrade from Snap 8 to 9 and this came along for free. I don’t use this sort of thing often, but if I ever need it, I have it. Thanks!

[@neme] Snap 2017 is a feature limited version with MANY modules disabled (if you click on the option for OCR or Watermark for example, you will get a popup message to upgrade to Snap9). If you have Snap7 already installed, keep it since it is the full version.

For those unaware of Ashampoo’s version # system: Those that end in years (WinOptimizer 2015, Snap 2017, etc.) are feature limited and often are based on the previous version. Software that ends in #’s (WinOptimizer 11, Snap 7, etc.) are the full version without any of the features disabled. So, for example, if you recently installed Snap 2017 thinking it was newer/better than Snap 7 you would incorrect. Ashampoo gives away lots of free software (thank you very much), mostly just 1 version lower than the current, so keep you eyes out for the giveaways that don’t end in year #.
