I did not want to fill my computer with rubbish that I cannot refuse to install in order to try something I know nothing about and the install routine is making me do this.. It is the worst thing to try to trick people to have to do and this is unacceptable to me Sharewareonsale, be ashamed of yourself for such poor practices here..

    Hi Ashraf.

I doubt David will read that comment. There seems to be no way on this discussion formum to get email notifications of new comments. Is this something you’re thinking of implementing at all?
I think people would find it useful – I certainly would.

After installing the program, it places an icon in the System Tray. Right clicking the icon has a Launch choice. The program appears to start painting its dialog, but never finishes, and therefore the controls never get to be usable. Also, the dialog is not movable (attempting to drag from the title bar does nothing). When the dialog is in the background, clicking its Taskbar icon does not bring it to the front. I find it odd that multiple copies can be “Launched” as well. The System Tray icon also has a choice to Exit All, which does at least get the opened dialog(s) to close. If the program does not finish filling in its dialog, then it has a serious problem.

    Gary,

First thank you for your comment. As described in your post, it seems to me that there must be something seriously wrong with your Windows. However, it is possible that you have not paid attention to the labels on the window. It is possible that Audio Control may have entered in the “Annulled” mode, which is clearly indicated when it does that, and which happens if Audio Control cannot find any audio devices which it can access and control.

I can’t comment on why you cannot move the window – as explained sounds strange. There are various view modes, including ability to remove the app title bar in order to preserve screen space. In such cases the app is movable via the context menu. Please check the help file for details.

The reason why Audio Control can be launched multiple times simultaneously is to allow simultaneous access and control to multiple devices and audio-controls, without juggling through settings as with the standard Windows. Suppose that a PC has two or more sound devices. Then multiple instances of Audio Control can be launched in order to control the audio lines of the different devices, one or more instance per device/card, depending on the devises and what is needed. The user can then also adjust the appearance of each instance to a minimal (small) view, place it on top of all other windows, etc visual settings and have quick and simple audio volume control on all audio cards with direct click, as opposed to jump hoops and chase devices as it is on the standard windows. You can even add custom names to your audio devices, which is helpful if for example you have two audio devices of the same type and they appear listed with the same names, so you keep wonder which is which.

You can read the manufacture’s website at http://mbbsoftware.com/products/audio-control/4/default.aspx and the app help to see why things are made the way they are.

    Hope this helps!

Seems to work good, although when in a certain mode I noticed it caused my processor doing a regular sawtooth between 15-30% spikes until I changed it another view mode then it settled down to almost no impact. If I can recall which I will post here, have yet to go back and play with it.

LOVE all the innovative view modes available, especially the fade types – cool!
