Is this already INSIDE Process Lasso or supplemental and both are needed?

Whoao — my 2,y00 Mz rated AMD A6 M4400M went from 2,695 MHz to 3,237 Mhz with this baby — yikes, 20% performance increase — is is supposed to do that? AMD only? Measured with CPUID. I think I like this.

I answered my own question above, [ Parking ] control IS in Process Lasso

under Options > Tools > Configure CPU Parking

    Thanks.

    XP Not Supported
although your Technical Details states: Supports Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8/8.1, and 10 (32-bit and 64-bit)

    …maybe I am missing something? …aswell as 10 mins (a six pack?)

Windows XP does not support CPU core parking, thus it didn’t make much sense to support it.

The error in the product compatibility list is thanks to, well, a mistake someone (we) made, and I’ll correct that now.

    Please accept my humble apologies!

ParkControl is designed to work right along-side Process Lasso.

Sure, Process Lasso has a pre-configured Gaming Mode, using our Bitsum Highest Performance power plan that disables core parking and frequency scaling, but it doesn’t have a dynamically changing system tray icon to show core parking status like ParkControl Pro does.

As we go forward, ALL Bitsum products will be designed to work right along-side each other. This statement will make more sense as you see our coming offerings.

[@Sadog] Sorry about that; ParkControl Pro is a new product, so we missed that. Do you want a refund? Here is your $0 back :-P

    No, it’s not ;).

Limited core parking control support is inside Process Lasso Pro, but there’s no dynamically changing system tray icon, and – well – also ParkControl Pro doesn’t have all the stuff Process Lasso has. So, it’s smaller, for a different purpose. They are distinct products and will grow more distinct as we go forward.

    Ashraf and Bitsum,
Thanks for the great deal, especially since it covers Process Lasso too.
I’ve been using PL since 5.x I’m a believer (It’s not voodoo, or maybe it is? Hmm…)
After playing with Park Control I used the coupon to also upgrade to Process Lasso Pro. 5-License Lifetime for both. Woohoo!
Looking forward to what’s in the works.

[@bitsum] Whoops. Guess I was wrong. Thanks for clarifying, Jeremy.

What do the percentage figures mean in the settings – The 5% for frequency probably tallies with the minimum state (though the actual clock minimum works out to 22% for my CPU).

The 10% for parking, is that the load level below which they park, or the load level above which additional cores are activated.

At idle, my 4 core AMD 965BE is mostly running with 2 active, occasionally 1-3

    [ @Ashraf]

It was an easy thing to be confused about, and I later discovered why.

When ParkControl Pro is running, Process Lasso is designed to open ParkControl Pro when you use it’s tools menu. When ParkControl Pro isn’t running, what you’ll get is a simpler rendition of something that looks like ParkControl original, w/o system tray icon and such.

In the future, when one Bitsum product invokes another, I will invoke a message box (with ‘do not show again’ option) to let users know that they just switched between apps!
