Where did you see “personal”? I saw only the version number.[@Chas]
It says “DiskFerret Personal 2.2.0.2” in the About DiskFerret window (opened from the Help menu). It also says “DiskFerret Personal” in the Title Bar. This is after it’s been registered, of course.
The giveaway is for DiskFerret Personal 2.2.0.2.

http://diskferret.com/the program description should have mentioned that you also need to install java for this to work. Many of us don’t want java on the pc in a permanent fashion. It wasn’t until I installed this program that it then said I need Java. I don’t like this sort of surprise, and my instant reaction is to uninstall this because of this lack of information on dependencies.
The not being able to start is a win 10 thing. I couldn’t get it to work in win 10 either all I got was the splash screen, so I installed it onto a win 7 virtual machine and it starts up with no problems at all.
DiskFerret is certified to run on Windows 10. Contact [email protected] for help in troubleshooting the problem.
