You are much appreciated.This Give Away for Windows is version 5.9.7 but their website is selling version 8.5.0. It seems the Give Away is a very old version.
It seems there is some confusion regarding the version number. Digiarty does have different version numbers for their Mac and Windows editions. The latest version numbers on Digiarty’s website shows that the Windows version number is 8.5.0 and the Mac version number is 5.5.0.
The Sharewareonsale.com website states that the version for Windows is 5.97 but what is downloaded is version 8.50, which is the latest from Digiarty.
Even though Sharewareonsale.com shows version 6.0.2 for a Mac version number, Digiarty does not indicate they have a Mac version with that number. If a Mac user gets version 5.5.0, they should be happy because that is the latest.
The confusion could be caused due to the link in the Sharewareonsale “Technical Details” section going to Digiarty’s MacX Video Converter Pro product, which is not what this promotion is for. That product version numbers are 5.9.7 and 6.0.4 (not 6.0.2) (Windows and Mac editions respectively). The link in the Sharewareonsale Description area is correct. It does go to the correct product.

This is Monica from Digiarty Software. Yep, Gary is right. We have different version numbers for Mac and Windows editions. As for MacX DVD Ripper Pro we’re giving away on Sharewareonsale, the Mac version number is 5.5.0 and the Windows version number is 8.5.0. Both are the latest version we have.
I checked that the information about the version number listed on Sharewareonsale is not correct. I’ve informed them of the problem. I think they would correct the verion number soon. Sorry for the confusion caused and thank you very much for downloading our software.
