Does not work at all. The boot process stops at the line “timecounters tick every 1.000 msec”. Then i went to their site and downloaded the demo version. Guess what? It stops at the same line. Good thing i kept my old version on CD because this is useless.
They are asking $39.95 for this and they call themselves PrimeExpert Software. What a joke. They should go at the street corner and sell pencils instead and i wonder if they could do this. This website should give us the option of 0 stars because this is what it deserve. Don’t waste your time.@gene

I want to clearly point out that “Gandalf´s”, “DLCboot” (“new”)HirensbotCD (as well as other floating around “ready to use” Window-PE based CD/DVD-images are completely illegal!
That is the reason that I only mentioned “Aomei Pe Builder” : that is (to me the only) known legal + comfortable solution to build a standard or even extended Windows PE. Of course You can use all other legal PE-Builders (which are the basis for Aomei´s Windows PE), but that needs more time. knowledge, thoughts and trials to get into it…If Virus Total test comes clean, so how come Avast shows a virus in the setup file?
It is rather very confusing, because Virus Total uses also Avast engine, and here we have a conflicting finding (=virus in the setup file).

It comes down to what tools were used to construct the item in question: some of these can mimic ways in which malware works. I’ve seen apparent same scanner report conflicts like that on occasion. I’ll look for compelling patterns, as to where I’d draw the line. Scanners like Eset, Bitdefender, Sophos, Kaspersky, Symantec and certain others — and particularly in the aggregate — will gain credibility with me; others, like Baidu or Jiangmin will not.

You make a valid point, but ask the IT dept. Admins which ones they would choose to rely upon, and it’s-

going to be the all-cleaned-up and compromised editions ! (Well, perhaps they already hold licenses for the most critical of those tools . . . . ) The only other useful way to go is to build one yourself, using your own licensed tools. But if you happened to read the respective EULAs, even that might not fly in terms of the legalese ?

downloads but when I try to to open or run as admin, the windows store screen tries to open – probably to tell me I ought to download a MS-approved app – but nothing happens, the broken circle just goes round and round … Pity, I was looking forward to retrieving data from soe old machines.
