Author here. It´s a false positive. I’ve been working with antivirus companies to remove those false positive alerts, and for the most part they are solved already (for know, big name antivirus companies at least).

Concur – Virus Total reports file infected with Trojan.Bcex.Win32.8. Would like to try Fort, but can’t take the chance.

I wanted to give a review because the publisher and author of this software were kind enough to offer it as a giveaway.
But at the same time consider that nothing is free in this world, by that comment I mean it’s obviously in development looking at the user interface and not ready for prime time just yet. In my opinion.

I decided not to bother trying the software at all based on the user interface. It may be really great, and it’s obvious that this software is still in development and perhaps launching earlier than planed? I dunno.

Either way, I don’t want to be a puppet for some experiment because I take great care of keeping my PC clean from such things. Whoever the author is, might I suggest a few things? And I mean this is all honesty, not trolling the net or anything like that.

1st : Don’t offer a product you plan to release commercially unless it is 100% ready to do so, make it a point to say that it is a testing software and have a disclaimer, also give users the options who participate a lifetime key, it’s good for business.
2nd : To release a software to get responses is a BIG MISTAKE. First off, and a lot of people don’t get it but ::: THE ENTIRE POINT OF A GIVEAWAY IS ADVERTISING, MUCH LIKE TELEVISION ADS IT GET’S THE WORD OUT THERE IF IT IS A GOOD PRODUCT PEOPLE WILL BUY IT BASED ON REPUTATION AND USAGE…..

3rd : Even though I did not even bother trying this software. The reason why is the LACK OF PICTURES or the PRIMITIVE interface. My advice to the author would be to add many single click options. NO ONE CLICK WONDERS HAVE EVER WORKED in selling anything because everyone wants to know what is going on with that one click. Create a menu and add some more options. You need a SHREDDING files option, Wipe Free Space Only Option, and much more. Look at Kryptel and O&O Secure Erase by comparison. Some things needed are right click in the context menu and select “SHRED”, one Plus to Kryptel is if you do not disable the auto start of the tray items then if you start shredding and the power gets cut then when your PC starts again it will finish the JOB and for Kryptel that is why you don’t disable the 3.3mb in memory usage tray/shredder options.

This may have potential, but appearances are everything, and options mean a lot also. I applaud the effort, but the follow through is a failure as far as usage goes.

And another things, TO THE AUTHOR. My advice would be that people should be more informed about false positives, rather than relying on some VIRUS TOTAL OR JOTTI’S scans, it would be a good idea to have a creative commons group with a group page explaining malware detections.

By that I mean, and it really is a bunch of RICH PEOPLE BS, While I get the fact that the FALSE POSITIVE more than likely has to do with the compiler that you are using, and the VIRUS FLAG is caused because a bunch of RICH COMPANIES ONLY WANT THEIR COMPILERS YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR to be used and don’t like the idea of competition. I think people should be better informed of this fact of FALSE POSITIVES. It’s the compiler 99.9% of the time and THE GOOD OLE RICH BOY CLUBS who are having the small competitors FLAGGED. Should be illegal in all honesty, at least IN MY OPINION I believe this is going on and that is the reason.

Either way, those are my opinions and thoughts on your software, thank you for providing this offer, even though I didn’t try it, keep in mind, Pictures and Options mean a lot, if it doesn’t offer you nothing from a visual perspective then you wont bother trying it. Thanks again!

And ASHRAF, Thank you SIR! YOU ARE AWESOME! But I have one small, tiny, little bitty, molecule sized, grain of salt, ant size request? Could you please have another giveaway for Shadow Defender? I’m poor, out of work, sick and hurt and if I could buy it I would, but I can’t.

    Thanks again!
