I’m a computer user for about 25 years. I needed tech support only very seldom and more often than not it was of no help. I see no need in updates if the program works. So such free versions are OK for me provided the program is good and has no serious bugs. Unlike trial versions with limited functionality which are good only if you contemplate the idea of buying a full version.[@Piotr] I replied to a post that has been moved or deleted in the meantime.

used the old version for many years. Have been waiting for a discount on current and you cant do better than 100%
Couldn’t get this program to run. Installed and no joy on running. Then downloaded and ran a correction, still no joy. Install program didn’t place a shortcut on the desktop despite the box being checked. When double click on shortcut or on program executable, absolutely nothing happens. Rebooted, same results. Running Win 10.
I like this license, thank you very much. :)
If you think of upgrading this license to something more recent, be sure you know that the upgrade-plan for the free license has already expired. This is what the jAlbum site told me:

Your support and upgrade plan for your jAlbum software expired Nov 1, 2017!
If you don’t extend you can keep on using your current version of jAlbum, but you can’t upgrade to the latest version or use our support.

This is no problem for me, but you might wanted to know ;-)The free version is 14.1.10, the current version is 16.1
You still can get a 30% discount or something alike on the site!

[@AS Webber] Yes, you are correct. The free license is for jAlbum 14.1 (which we released before Nov 1, 2017), which you can use for as long as you like. And if you want to upgrade to a more recent version you’ll get a 30% discount on our licenses.
Software is not giving me the option to enter a license number as described in the instructions. Otherwise, an impressive application and service. I would like to be able to license it, please advise.
