I downloaded and installed and when I registered I selected ‘LopeEdit Pro’ and clicked ‘Register’. It said it successfully registered. I opened it and clicked help and about and it says ‘LopeEdit Lite’. I started over and reinstalled again and got the same results.

Symantec flags this as malware – checked on Virustotal and Metascan – both found 1 hit. Not installing this until I find out more about these. PE:Malware.Generic(Thunder)!1.A1C4 [F] , W32.InstallCore.XB.hwzw.mg

Selected LopeEdit Pro when prompted during installation. Seems that text fonts are limited in the edit preferences. Is there a way to add in my favourite fonts such as Verdana and Georgia. Apart from that, it is a useful text editor. Thank you.

I’ve tried several times to download the Installer for LopeEdit Pro, and as quickly as it shows up on my desktop it gets deleted by my Norton Anti-virus which says it’s a virus. I’m running Windows 8.1. So as it stands, I can’t install it and probably won’t even try again in the future.

Looked good, I haven’t enough time to fully test this but Wade is right, I get the same error. This is not a good sign from a text editor. Programmers are religious when it comes to editors. Make a good first impression! everything else I’ve tried so far has been fine.

Also I didn’t have a problem installing and registering from the lic file.
FWIW if your Security software is flagging safe software as malware you may want to think about changing, just a thought.

I followed the instructions and click register and up comes file “LopeEditPro as the file to open not the .lic file. In a different place I see the .lic file and if I click on that the install file comes up again and I went through the whole install process again.
