I was hoping that this software was a quick way to do some serious corrections BUT it is practically worthless. I tried different pictures, some challenging, some already corrected with other software. In every case it does nothing but to increase SLIGHTLY the brightness and maybe be contrast. Very small difference on every photo tested. Something that can be done by any other software and done better with more options. Worst it has to be reset to do another picture, no other tweaking. TOTALLY WORTHLESS AND A FRAUD TO SAY IT USES SOME TYPE OF AI. Not worth the installation and it speaks bad of the company if they peddle this as a “good” picture correction software. It is neither quick nor good

Yeah, and expands during installation to:
    — 1,717 Files
    — 848,981,109 bytes
    — 47 Directories

And yet, way-smarter and feature-and-benefits-laden FREE Google Picasa is only 14 MB download, 62 MB installed.

This is all promise hooey and no real programming effectiveness to support it.

The funniest thing is that I commented that, for example,

“… Every Sony camera has face recognition and localized dynamic range expansion, apparently that’s not been incorporated into this software …”
    [/quote]

… then I come to inspect their sample photograph, and it’s taken with a high-end world-class-leading Sony Alpha 7R II single-lens mirrorless camera:

[ 1 ] set on manual exposure, ignoring all Sony face-recognition and Sony dynamic range expansion features, using none of Sony’s in-built artificial intelligence, not a typical behavior of average shooters who bought a Sony camera — or any modern digital camera, because all have some form of artificial intelligence to enhance in-camera JPEG production — because of it’s artificial intelligence, and

[ 2 ] already manipulated in Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 Macintosh,

… 2 choices apparently to artificially bland the photograph out so it can be artificially un-blanded by their demo, I guess.

Heck, even free IrfanView ( 23 MB installed ) instantly loaded their image, instantly auto adjusted, instantly applied my choice of contrast, gamma, and saturation for added “punch”, instantly sharpened, and instantly saved as a new file in any format, leaving the original intact.

Sadly, or appropriately, the 8BF plugin that comes with Photo Lemur Express does nothing in IrfanView except claim that it made changes to the image ( it did not ) — perhaps someone else here tried the plugin in an Adobe product, and can report?

If the programmers of Photo Lemur Phoenix / Full / Free / Express / Spectre / whatever want excited reviews, or even satisfactory reviews, I suggest that they first get even the free competition, install it, and see what they are competing with, then start reprogramming all over again.

I have tried to run this program on two different computers. On the first the error message says that it must be installed on the local disk (even if the default destination is already on the local disk). On the second computer I had more luck and was able to install it but it keep crashing so I am unable to test this promising and interresting software. Both systems are up to date, Win8.1 PC.

Hi! Have you tried to use RAW files in Pрotolemur? Photolemur applies different algorithms to RAW and JPEG files.

Hi! Please, check if Photolemur supports your camera: https://photolemur.com/supported-cameras
Also, the speed of processing depends on the computer processor, the images size and the number of opened apps.
