This does NOT have pre-built shortcuts, and does not display programmer’s shortcuts, this is NOT a cheat-sheet.

This program lets usu build our own personal macro-shortcuts ( complex shortcuts combining a series of simple shortcuts ) where we can access a series of keyboard and mouse steps, combine them into one thing that we only have to point to to get it started.

We must successfully manually build each macro-shortcut ourselves, there is no recording.

We must successfully identify the program name where each macro-shortcut will operate, they only offer Windows Explorer built in, so if we want to build our own macro-shortcuts for Word … is it called Microsoft Word or Word or MS Word or Winword or what?, we may have to explore and I dunno, check what Task Managers finds as a program name — contact the programmer of this software to ask if any program name we type in as the environment for our macro-shortcuts to work in fails to identify properly.

Weird but useful – I must turn on shortcut underlines in Windows to even know what personal macro-shortcuts to build, but I figured out how to make a mouse-wheel-click bring up my self-created macro-shortcut list, and then easily toggle back and forth between View > Details and View > Extra Large Icons in Windows File Explorer lists, so that was successful.

There are unexplained abbreviations, such as MMB = Middle Mouse Button – we gotta play to find this stuff.

Let’s all try it, see if we grow it into our daily computing lives, or if we turn it off due to lack of use.

I’m playing with it, and I think it’ll depend on what mouse buttons I have available, because I do not want to use any keyboard keys as a trigger since that would require two hands, and this is supposed to be sourtcuts, not long-cuts.

Some of my mice have no middle click, and touch pads have no middle click, and Microsoft already programs the middle mouse click, and what about touch screens and our finder as the mouse?

We got a lot of exploring to do, and this is v1, so maybe our feedback will greatly enhance the programmer’s ability to handle different environments they may not have thought of.

So, folks, download it, register it, and give it a try, and let’s see how we can make this relationship between SOS, SOS users, and vendor/programmers work the best it can.

    Thanks everyone.

[@Peter Blaise] Peter, Great review! I don’t understand the low rating for this and hope it climbs as more people try it out. I should have time tomorrow to give it a workout. From your review it sounds like it could have done more automatically, like record the current program name and keypresses when you want to create a shortcut. I think you’re right that it should come with a catalog of shortcuts built in to Windows and maybe a dozen or so from some of the more common programs like Chrome, Edge (anyone using that?), Windows Explorer, MS Office. I wouldn’t want these pre-loaded into “wheels”, but should be able to pick from a menu. That’s a big task to even build such a list, but maybe the community could contribute shortcuts for various programs. I also would like to see this be a win for the developer, all of us users, and SOS.

[@Mike] Hi Mr.Dave, good advice. In future versions, the wheel shortcuts data can be imported from or exported to xml files, then the community can easily share these xml files for various programs.
