Lately, I am a victim of malware attack on my kobo arc.
Factory reset cannot remove these malwares since they gain root access and install onto the system partition. Rooting the tablet was complex because the information on the web was incomplet. Mine has 64GB. I can put alot of books and videos on it.
The last update of the original kobo arc is at Android 4.1.1.
Android version 4.1 has many unpatched bugs that malware apps can exploit to install them on your tablet. The only solution to remove them is to take the ROM downloaded from Kobo and reflash it.
