I had the same problem and what worked for me is I re-registered all three of the programs and you are going to receive an Invalid serial number. After I restarted all of them and there is a new checkbox that says do not ask again all I did is Check that box and it works fine after or you can simply register it’s free.

    Hello,
I have tried installing Ashampoo Office 2010 v10.0.584.
As the installer starts it asks for the licence key that I have and accepts it, saying that it is a valid key.

After the installation that seems to go fine, whenever I open any single component, the Writer or PlanMaker ect., I find that the registration did NOT really happen because it keeps on asking for the key, yet it does NOT accept the original and only key that was given to me.

    Any solutions?

Tank you very much for your help.

    Best regards.

Sorry I made a mistake, I meant you have to CHECK the box not uncheck.

Seems to work now. For me the solution was as simple as UNCHECKING the box that appeared ONLY AFTER I tried to register UNSUCCESSFULLY the apps (I had to do it for the 3 of them). That box isn’t there the first time you try to register, it will be there if you try a second time. I don.t get it but that’s what I had to do…3 times. so I’m not dreaming or crazy The worst part is I’ll uninstall it because I already have a more recent SoftMaker version of that Office suite. I saw that it was SoftMaker when I tried to reinstall it.

Thank you for your reply. I figured it out: we have to go here => /www.softmaker.de/reg/ash10_en.htm <= to get the serial number.

I did and it doesn’t work. I remember installing the same a couple of years ago on an older XP pro computer and it worked fine then. By the way today’s serial number is the same as my older one.

Same issue as Marcus. The given code worked for the installation but not for the activation: invalid serial number…

Downloaded Ashampoo Office 2010, installed, entered the registration code at the beginning of installation, now every time I try to launch one of the programs it asks me for registration which I reinter and it tells me registration code not valid what’s up with that?

@Everyone: I’ve updated this offering with a download/registration that goes directly through Ashampoo and does not require as much personal information. Enjoy!

[@Jul Lar] Ditto. And, in fact, I think it’s totally fair for a company to put you on a respectful mailing list when you’re grabbing its free software . . . . And if you don’t like Ashampoo’s, just opt out.

I don’t understand all the complaints about Ashampoo’s “spam” emails. I think it’s grown into an Urban Legend. I have many of their products from contests, purchases and giveaways. I get maybe 1 to 3 messages a week from them (a rough estimate), and they often have some pretty good deals for their other programs. Maybe it’s because I’m already deleting about 40 messages a day from guitar training sites, financial sites, giveaway sites, Staples, Tractor Supply, lots of political pleas for cash, and several trade publications, not to mention 3 per DAY from Kim Komando! I’ve never even tried to turn off the Ashampoo messages but understand it’s a simple thing to do… Thanks SOS, looks like a nice product!

[@DixiePenguin] [@Xi] Many companies allow their software to be rebranded and sold under a different name. That is simply how the business world works. Ashampoo has some sort of contract with SoftMaker that allows Ashampoo to rebrand their office product and sell it, with SoftMaker getting a share of each sale. There is nothing fishy going on here and both products have the same exact features, although I respect your decision to not want to give out personal information. In regards to email, however, it really isn’t hard to create a “disposable” email address :-)

    You are both welcome!

I haven’t downloaded it yet, but I’d prefer getting this suite directly from SoftMaker than through (or as re-branded) Ashampoo.
    Salamat sa imong huna-huna.
Thank you, Ashraf, for another excellent offering.

Please note, the registration page link does not go to Ashampoo but rather to Softmaker, which licensed the program to the former. This seem odd and makes me ill at ease. I cannot understand why Softmaker would offer the product as Ashampoo Office 2010 when they sell the same program under their own label (SoftMaker Office 2010). Considering the extensive personal information requested, I would rather play it safe and not proceed with the down load. I note the hint regarding the non-verification of info but it still requires a valid email address to receive the registration. I will give it a miss rather than risk my email being shared or sold.
