[@Tortuga] 1) Unfortunately we did not test WinCatalog with PortableApps suite so I cannot tell you how they will work together; 2) Yes, sure. Buying a license for WinCatalog you’re getting an unlimited number of activations and installations.

    Hello :)
Bought WC.2012 & now WC.2013 after reading abt the portable possibility.
I’m going to adopt the portable mode, as most of my apps are on an external HDD on my PortableApps Suite, and I’m building one for my husband’s stick. Would like to know
    1) If there is a conflict w the PortableApps Suite?
    2) Could the license be invalidated by re-activating multiple times? Usually my external is plugged on my main PC, but my husband changes frequently.
Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions.
    Peace

[@jebbrown] you can download WinCatalog for free, test it by yourself and make your own opinion. The evaluation version is fully functional – the only one limitation – you cannot add more that 10 disks per a collection file while it is in trial mode. All other features are on. By the way, the offer has been prolonged for a week, so it will be live until October 16th.

[@Michael Rusakov] I would love this type of software, but only if it was a great implementation. Unfortunately the only reviews I could find (I only had 7 minutes to look until the promo expired) were 3 stars at best, which is good, but not great, though most or all of them were for older versions. I feel bad because I got secure Safe Pro for free (thank you very much!) and It had very, very good reviews (mostly 5 stars). Maybe it would be a big boost for you to get some newer more positive reviews for winCatalog. Is there a newer perhaps better version due out soon?. If I weren’t disabled I would buy it just on principal, but I am, so I can’t (I only buy software at discounted places like this – Thanks Asraf, great site!).

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I really appreciate that. Sounds like it will meet my needs and I plan to purchase a copy. It looks like a very nice program! Thanks also for this great software offer and for having it on SOS!

[@Rufus] WinCatalog was not developed as a portable app, but since it was written in C++ and does not use any third-party libraries and frameworks (like .NET) it does not require any installation – one should just run .exe file to work with the program. However there is one issue with the portability: WinCatalog keeps all settings in the Windows Registry so it will ask you for a reg.key on every new computer.

Once again, in short: WinCatalog can work as a portable app but it will ask for a reg.key on every new computer when you run it for the first time.

No, WinCatalog is not a bookmark manager. I can suggest you to try delicious.com or any other similar service (I personally use delicious). You may also like CintaNotes (http://cintanotes.com/) which is free and may be used to store bookmarks and notes. I use it as well.

    Hello, Ashraf.

I have been looking for an application that would allow me to access in one place all the many bookmarks I have in quite a number of browsers. I do not find it easy to remember what bookmark I have in what browser. And it would be great to be able to refresh my memory that I have a certain bookmark without opening the browser. Could this application do that for me, or do you know of something else?

    Ashraf,
I currently use Virtual Volumes View Portable. Keep and run it from a flash drive.
Would consider buying this if it is portable?
Can’t find any info about if this is portable or not.
    Can you answer this?
    Thanks

This is a 1-user lifetime license, free minor updates

So does this mean we get free updates for 2013, but no updates to 2014. But the 2013 license never expires?

    Right?

This is a nice program, thanks for the great deal.
By the way, the Developer (OrangeCat Software) link on this page needs fixing.
