Be aware that pcwinsoft do NOT follow normal practice in the design and development of their programs, they also do not respect the licenses on open source products they build their software around.
They install into the users Documents folder a sub-folder named after the media program they are producing in this case:
“Hi-Q MP3 Recorder Pro\ffmpeg” and deposit two executable files in there “Proxyffmpeg.exe” and “ffmpeg.exe” both have zero business being in the user documents hierarchy and the ffmpeg.exe is built under the GPLv3 license and is illegal for them to distribute in a closed source product, let alone unattributed and without corresponding license file and access to source code being offered by them. They also install a second program called audio split and trim without notice or consent and a second set off programs installed into the user Documents folder called “Audio Split Trim 1AVSR\sox\” and second illegal distribution of FFMPEG, illegal for the same reasons, “Audio Split Trim 1AVSR\ffmpeg\” with another copy of “Proxyffmpeg.exe” and “ffmpeg.exe”.
This is one of their messiest installations and re Jeans post the installer spawns a program to get the current date and time from a server to enforce the giveaway limitations and validate THEIR licensing called “GetServerDate.exe” without a permitted outbound connection through your firewall or just an internet connection on the target machine the installation will abort. They may abuse other developers licenses but they insist theirs are respected even if it’s not legally valid!!!
Oh and also an illegal copy of open source MIT licensed NAudio.dll without which the program would not record anything, illegal because they do not include a copy of the MIT license and do not give any attribution to Mark Heath the primary developer of it.
