During install it offered an OPTIONAL download of AI models (6 GB) and GPU support (3 GB), all that requires space on SYSTEM drive (C:). I decided to see how the program does without it. I loaded a pic, and on right side of screen it said background removal is not available without AI models. I came here to write comments and when I went back to verify things in the program, it was closed. I opened it again, loaded a pic, and the program exited immediately. Too bad the install unregistered the previous version.
Here’s the comment I left on their website when it asked why I was uninstalling:
Requiring 6 GB on my system drive is too much space, the “remove background” function is not available without the AI models. So there’s nothing the program can do. When I reloaded it, it simply exited without warning so I can’t even look through options to see if I missed something. Not sure if the 3 GB for GPU support is in addition to the 6 GB for AI models, or if it needs to be on C: drive, you’re not very clear about that during installation. And the install killed the license for my previous version. Sorry, there’s nothing positive I can say. What a tremendous waste of my time. Instead of encouraging me to look at your products and tell my friends, I’m left with a strong “Avoid SoftOrbits” memory that will last long after I forget the details. I’m using Windows 11 with Nvidia GTX 4070 Ti and i9-3900 CPU. Offer for free version was from SharewareOnSale website.
