[@Jim Athanasiadis] It won’t be your anti-virus program it’s the firewall you have installed or rules you have applied via a 3rd party user interface blocking all unsolicited outbound connections for new programs and not informing you of the fact it’s blocking attempts. You need to lower the severity of the firewall filtering to permit outbound connections or place it in learning mode or at worst temporarily disable the firewall if you cannot set a normal profile, assuming you are behind a NAT router like most modern internet connections which protects your LAN devices from unsolicited inbound connections from the internet even with the software firewall completely disabled.
