Hi everybody. :-)
I didn’t use the sharewaleonsale installer, but I tried to download and install the software directly from hitfilm.com.
I had to share it (facebook, google+, and maybe twitter (?) options are available).
I had to register to their website.
I received their email (hence I had to log in to my email account) and clicked the download button to receive their installer.
The installer is sized 275MB, therefore I can’t scan it on virustotal, metadefender, jotti and virscan.
Win10 defender, Superantispyware free, emsisoft emergency kit free, herdprotect free, malwarebytes antimalware free 3, don’t find anything suspicious.
After the installation, I had to set the program to “override high dpi scaling behaviour. Scaling performed by application”, otherwise it complained about resolution and high dpi (I’ve set it to 150% ?).
Finally, it presented a button “activate”, I clicked it and I had to sign in with the account created.
Then it wanted to be restarted.
I still get the message about the resolution, even if I set it to “system enhanced” and tried other compatibility settings.
It seems this software doesn’t like high dpi settings (but I didn’t try to run it with normal scaling).
Using: Windows 10 standard/home x64, version 1709 build 16299, (AMD A10 7800 cpu), windows 10 defender, windows firewall, custom scaling 150%, dep alwayson.
