Installed with no problem. The name & reg-code apparently got entered automatically.
Easy enough to use, though it takes some browsing around the menu icons & help pages for anything but basic scanning.
Seems to work OK for the simple scanning tests I did, including auto-detecting my scanner (Brother multifunction) and doing ADF and duplex scanning.
It may do more with documents than I’ve yet tried — I do want to see about the 2-page-book-spread and the deskewing features. I did not try saving as anything but PDF (which open just fine in Acrobat, which is my usual PDF handler).
It doesn’t appear to do OCR or let you edit the scanned document.
Not as easy for cropping photos as the Brother utility.
Seems like a good utility and even the regular price is fairly reasonable if you had to buy it.
