EZ Game Booster v6 v1.6.3 v1.0.6.3 ( the program does not know what version it is itself ! )
— draws ( paints ) itself really poorly on screen, coming in as a series of information fill in, slowly, rather than appearing as one full display of information, sometimes the background is white, sometimes black, but whenever I click on a different [ tab ], the display becomes a mishmash of old and new information, taking many slow painful seconds to watch as it tries to draw new information and overwrite old information, quite an unholy mess,
— not resizable screen,
— [ Options ] does not respond to clicking, so I have no idea what [ Options ] there might be, and I cannot change the temperature display from Celcius to Farenheit to match my current display report from Hard Disk Sentinel.
I’m glad I have Kerish Doctor watching, because some changes that EZ Game Booster made, then Kerish Doctor immediately popped up and offered to undo … yup, the descriptions offered by EZ Game Booster were so ambiguous, and were awkward interpretations on what “boosting” means, that without Kerish Doctor, I would have de-tuned my computer.
Here’s the challenge with auto tuning … for example, if I accept a longer ( slower ) boot because it’s defragging files before Windows loads, files that Windows can’t defrag, that will make my computer run more responsively ( and make the files more recoverable after a crash ), BUT, it’s a longer ( slower ) boot, so … given all that, what would a “boost” actually be?
One camp claims that a faster ( quicker ) boot is a boost RIGHT NOW, and turns off boot defrag.
Another camp claims that boot defragging boosts performance AFTER defrag.
So, if the program had TWO modes, perhaps one labeled [ BOOST RIGHT NOW ] and another labeled [ BOOSTED AFTER TWEAKING AND REBOOT ], then we might eliminate the ambiguity of the current poorly explained boost settings, and we could choose which we want — boost right now, or boost after tweaking and reboot.
EZ Game Booster presents and performs like a beta test, perhaps it’s really v0.1.0.6.3.
And definitely NOT “pro”.
