I have used several modem/router tools, too, with the same disappointing results. Once the user shifts to an encrypted communication mode via a random VPN IP address, they bypass the modem’s security screening. Kind of an unintended consequence of technology. We teach our kids/employees to use such tools to protect their privacy, but…
