What benefit does PaperScan Pro offer over my HP scanner software?
As far as I can see, not a lot in terms of the actual scanning side of things. I tested it and compared to my Canon scanner software and I think I prefer the scan I get with the Canon software.
I think where it is claiming to be superior is the in the post-scanning tools that it offers – e.g. reordering the pages, annotating, changing color etc.
I have other software that does a better and more comprehensive job of those sorts of things, but if you didn’t then PaperScan could be useful.
