[@Peter Blaise] addendum:
My poor little old laptop crashed while download a bunch of videos, I don’t know the reason for the crash.
I rebooted, and restarted Fast Video Downloader, and it picked up where it left off, 350 videos downloaded, 60+ to go.

To others, please do the typical things to make sure our computers are not unnecessarily quirky ( we LOVE our “necessary” quirks, don’t we?!? ):
– check all downloads at free [ VirusTotal. com ], and then take 100% responsibility for risk ( “potentially unwanted” is different from “trojan dropper” ), here, ONLY DrWeb calls this “potentially unwanted”, all others scan this file as SAFE.
– frequently run appropriate tests and realignment from free [ Tweaking. com ] Windows Repair AIO to clear and rest the OOBE Out Of Box Experience of Windows registry and file and services permissions,
– reboot often, especially before installing and running new stuff, and make copious restore points, I reboot to safe mode often and I do routine maintenance there,
– reinstall the operating system often ( yearly at least ? ) taking only a day or so, rather than endlessly and arduously trying to fix a corrupted misbehaving system taking weeks of frustration with no successful remedy,
– occasionally check the hardware, [ ChkDsk C: /r ] and reboot for the hard drive, CMOS or Windows RAM test, and so on, R&R remove and replace all separable components to make new fresh metal-to-metal contacts, I also spray ( not free but lasts forever ) Caig DeOxIt on contacts to clean and preserve them.
Let us know how it all goes, folks – try try try again!
