“… May 18. 2020, Received an email from Sharewareonsale today providing a license key number for Driver Booster 7 Pro. Could not enter the number anywhere. Only got a payment page to pay for it. Waster my time completely …”
No.
#1 – The FREE version works fine, the Pro version only adds automation and some software drivers ( hardware drivers are included in the free version ), and the pro version adds some test and repair features, see comparison between FREE and Pro at this link:
[ https ://www. iobit. com/en/driver-booster-pro. php ].
All IObit products work forever in the FREE mode, just with some features turned off ( and marked “Pro” ).
You did not waste your time.
#2 – Do NOT click [ Activate Now ], but below that click [ Enter License ] … like ALL vendors, they want your money and have a teaser on screen that opens their web site and asks for a credit card, which you can do, and get MORE than the FREE 6-months 3-computer license offered here at SOS if you want, there’s no problem with that.
For this particular offering, remember the instructions from SOS on the download page ( that were also emailed to each of us ):
“… To register Driver Booster 7 PRO,
click the ENTER LICENSE option that is
below the yellow GET IT NOW button.
Do NOT click the yellow GET IT NOW button,
that does not allow you to enter a license key …”
Yeah, I’ve been there, done that, got the T-shirt, wore it out, happy to help.

“… Worthless download. Despite numerous attempts to download (which it does fine) when “installed” it will not open. It gives me some nonsense error that I don’t have appropriate permissions to access the program. What a waste of time! On top of all that, I have IObit’s Advanced System Care installed and now I can’t even access the included driver booster that came with it! Useless!! … MY COMMENT IS AWAITING MODERATION???? What FOR? Because I told the truth about the program and the fact that it won’t open or even give me access to the version included in my ASC program? WHAT triggered your censorship program, the word “useless” or “worthless”? Along those lines, why moderate reviews at any time? What are you afraid of? … Wait! I submit an honest one star review about my issues with this product and the fact that I now can’t even access the Driver Booster that came with my ASC and I get a message that my comment was flagged as possible SPAM and awaiting “moderation”? What’s to moderate, except keeping a bad review off your comment thread. BTW, don’t think it hasn’t been noticed that there are ZERO comments about the software from today, which is impossible. What are you afraid of? That people will realize that this particular program isn’t worth the time? …”
Ahh, the struggles with getting free stuff – been there, too.
Welcome to one of the world’s most deservedly renowned web sites for access to free offerings from software and ebook/on-line-instruction vendors – and a great place to meet and discuss the offerings in detail.
Let’s get you situated.
IObit Advanced System Care does NOT have IObit Driver Booster features, but only has a call to an externally installed separate IObit Driver Booster program – it’s actually nice of IObit to integrate calls to their other separate diverse programs if they find them all on one computer.
So even though IObit advanced System Care may have the ability to purchase, download, update, and or run IObit Driver Booster, IObit Driver Booster is a separate program that we can install, upgrade, uninstall, open and use and crash and mess up all on our own.
The failure to load and come on screen is not unprecedented, I suggest always performing routine maintenance to make sure we are troubleshooting the program and not missing something fundamenaking tal first, including:
– making copious restore points for so we can go back if something goes wrong,
– backup our data because … well, just because, always have spare copies elsewhere,
– reboot between tasks, especially before installation and maintenance tasks, especially when troubleshooting any misbehavior,
– run only the desired task first after reboot,
– restore to last known good, or restore to a previous restore point, reboot, and try again,
– reset Windows OOBE Out Of Box Experience settings with FREE [ Tweaking. com ] Windows Repair AIO All In One,
and it has fixes for other things while in that terrific resetting program, which includes calls to do things we can also do manually, such as,
– ChkDsk C: /F or /R and reboot,
– reboot to safe mode for some repairs,
– SFC /scannow and reboot,
also, we can:
– uninstall and reinstall any program, IObit especially accepts reinstallation anytime from ANY source, even downloading directly from IObit, or CNet, or Downloads, and so on … but the SOS-supplied download worked for me,
– IObit has a quirk where sometimes during installation, it deletes the old version first, and then only leaves an update call instead of actually installing the new version, hence my suggestion to try the installation again … after doing the other maintenance things above to make sure nothing untoward is going on behind the scenes on our computer.
Turn off the competition nanny nag antivirus software – I never use any active anti malware program, preferring instead to scan all downloads at [ VirusTotal. com ] before deciding to run them or not, and then separately, I manually scan my entire computer on occasion, using a variety of different anti malware programs – I don’t like the slowdown and delays caused by anti malware always running, I do not like the pop-up dialogs, I do not like the automatic decisions being made behind my back, and I have other bad experience, such as knowing people with Norton, Microsoft, McAfee, Malwarebytes, and other free and paid anti malware running all the time, and still they call me because of their computer’s misbehavior, and I find their computer has been taken over by malware, go figure.
We feel your pain … try, try, try again.
You’ve got this.

“… Hi, I tried to enter a License Code into the newly installed product … Got “Invalid license code”. Can I get a valid one please? Thank you in advance, Oleg …”
Oy, I wish folks would NOT publish license numbers, because once public, the vendors often cancel the license because of unpermissioned spread and re-use by the public who have not established a relationship with the vendor ( a relationship that we have by registering through SOS ).
The license you quoted worked for me ( luckily ).
If your version refuses the Pro license, cut and pasted or manually typed in, and you try other versions from IObit, SOS, and other resources, and none accept the Pro license … then just be happy with the FREE version, it’s still a terrific program.
Also try another computer if you have one, if the other computer works, then troubleshoot the sticky computer as I recommend above, and let us know what happens.
