Very nice to get an updated version, thanks SOS and ChemTable!
Since version 8 this has become a 64-bit program, they say it runs faster on 64-bit Windows. Not sure what it does if you’re running a 32-bit system….
I have tried several uninstallers over the years and find this one to be very thorough (as far as I can tell) and it’s much faster than the others. I’ve never used the ability to trace installations because (a), that adds a LOT of time to installs, (b) I’ve never seen a good explanation of how it knows what registry and file changes are a result of the install process, and something else that happened during the same time period, and (c) it seems to work just fine without tracing installations. Anyone have other thoughts on this?
Soft Organizer also can scan for programs with available updates, you can undo an uninstall, and it’s pretty simple to use. I highly recommend this program.
I have to laugh when I see such long license codes. Soft Organizer uses a 52-character code. Assuming each character can be a letter or number, there are 36 possibilities for each character. Often a code like this only has certain combinations that are valid, to prevent people from guessing at codes. Let’s assume that for every billion combinations of letters & numbers, only ONE is valid. I looked up how many people there are in the world in 2020, and a good estimate is 7.8 billion. That means that every person on the planet could have about 108,500,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 unique codes!
