Filename Lister ran without errors but I don’t like that it shows subfolder content in alphabetical order inside the parent folder’s file list:
Folder
File
Subfolder A
Subfolder A File
Subfolder A File
File
Subfolder B
Subfolder B File
Subfolder B File
File
File…..

Would prefer sub folders to be expanded at end or start of the list of files in the parent folder:
Folder
File
File
File
File
Subfolder A
Subfolder A File
Subfolder A File
Subfolder B
Subfolder B File
Subfolder B File…..

As it is now, it’s confusing to see files a given folder spread out over several pages, interrupted by subfolders and their files, instead of next to each other. Export to CSV or Excel is a very nice feature. A bit slow on large (over 1000 files) folder structures.

Overall, I like Karen’s Directory Printer (from Karen’s Power Tools) much better, and it’s free or give a donation. It gives more control over what to include in viewed list or file, and how to print it, with separate options for print and save to file. No Excel or CSV output, but saves a tab-delimited file that can easily be viewed as text or imported into Excel (or Libre Office, etc.).

Thanks for the chance to try this out, but I already uninstalled. Karen’s program has been around a long time, still runs great in Windows 10 and gives more options. Those who prefer simplicity and don’t have too many nested folders could find Filename Lister a good addition to their PCs.
