I got this version of PDF Text OCR Xtractor at giveawayoftheday.com. The program is completely useless. By default, only English is installed, the other languages must be downloaded from the developer’s website, but this is not possible. Text recognition is amazing in the primitive way in which it is done. The text is recognized from the image and at the same scale as it appears in the working part of the program interface. Recognition of large images (A4 size) is usually a failure. When you try to zoom in using the appropriate button on the interface, the program tells you that it does not have enough memory.
VOVSOFT OCR Reader, which was given out here, is a pretty valid program. It does a good job with text in a variety of languages. It has some drawbacks, but this program does work. Whereas PDF Text OCR Xtractor does practically nothing.
