During the download, the file stopped at 99.5%. I tried it twice, it stopped at the same spot. I just renamed the file.part to file.exe. It installed properly.
I tried to use Disk to Disk clone option (using the clone as MBR). It stopped after 1 minute and totally destroyed the partition table on the external HD. Windows 10 did not see the external HD at all.
I asked ChatGpt how to rescue the external HD and found the recommended TESTDISK program to restore the partition table. The external disk is working now.
I am scared to use this program to clone my original disk to an external HD. I am hoping someone has better luck than me.
