I’m having the same issue. My issue may be due to the fact that I had on older version from Giveaway of the day that doesn’t allow upgrades (at least in 99% of the cases).

Offer page says that you get free updates. After installation, on first launch, the program comes up with a message saying a new version is available. When I install the new version, the program then says trial period is over and prompts me to buy!!!
