How can a program only install on the main drive in this day & age?
No problem, you can buy a portable license, it is designed for all USB-drives. Plus you will be able to launch Agelong Tree from this USB-drive connected to ANY Windows computer and show your tree/add information/ print trees/ etc
We are speaking about a type of license, a standard license requires the program to be installed on internal computer disc. A portable license requires the program to be installed on a USB-drive.And can’t even import a gedcom file
To import a GEDCOM file, please click on the main menu – “File” – “Import” – “Gedcom”
Once downloaded the .pkg file, I installed it but, when I inserted the activation key I receive the following message:
‘Cannot create file “/Users/fabiofares/Applications/Agelong Tree/key.bin”. No such file or directory.’
Can you help me?

FabioIt looks like the folder “Agelong Tree” wasn’t created during the installation for some reason, may be a problem of autorization? We can’t say exactly without your computer, unfortunately.
The application does not activate, displays an error. I sent data to support, they are silent there :(
I just imported a gedcom file.
Very frustrating. I downloaded & installed the program. I cut & pasted the license code and got the error msg saying you must install on an internal disc which I had. I closed the program & restarted it multiple times with the same msg. I can load the sample file, but can’t register it why???
Hello, it is because the promoted license is a standard computer license, it is not a portable license. For USB-discs only portable license will work. Please install Agelong Tree on internal computer disc, not USB-disc.
Agelong Tree5 will not open.
Download was fine and was the installation but
the program will not open.
