I installed from link given / uninstalled. I installed from link above in post, same thing, no place to put in a number or email. I used the program to convert a 640×480 in mp4 format, I got sound with no picture.

This is yet another piece of pirate software of debatable origin. It is pirate software because it is pirating GPLv3 FFMPEG.EXE and FFPROBE.EXE illegally distributing GPLv3 software in commercial closed source project, I strongly suspect it is also pirating open source AI models in same package. The installer AND executables are all NOT digitally signed so this developer is not a serious developer willing to invest a few dollars to get a legitimate digital signature to authenticate their executables and maybe identify themselves as a corporate entity. Other proof this is not a legitimate business identity is that they hide their geo-location and corporate identity (IF ANY) behind PrivacyGuardian.org whois registry info shield. and their website is hosted by google cloud so could be anywhere. But looks like it’s in or around Losangeles USA. Personally Even if this were legitimately signed and corporately identified and used other peoples IP legally I would not be interested as it’s exactly the same as all other 1st generation AI video upscaling software we’ve all seen before and find is not efficient at using the available GPUs being tied to only vulkan compatible GPU’s and not all GPUs on the market.

so this is the second time this offer has came around and windows tells me it’s not trusted and not to run it but sometimes that happens so i installed it and ran it anyway. as everyone says there’s no place to register the software and i tried to upscale something short and only got a black video. so anyone know what the problem is for the second time this has been offered and plus someone posted a link to the software and said it should work but i also downloaded that and nothing but the same thing, no place to register and a black video. thanks

[@TK] Perversely their claims NVIDIA and AMD GPU compatibility but no Intel GPU is mentioned but when I run this and did finally get this to do something AI it only used my less powerful Intel GPU and totally ignored my better NVIDIA GPU! for a 40 second FHD MP4 video using Normal AI model profile it is estimating 03 Hours 48 minutes and 32 seconds. No options other than choosing one of 3 AI models…. ah now i see why this is taking sooooooo long it is processing the MP4 video and deconstructing it into individual frames and writing out each processed frame into folder:

“C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Video Enhancer\hd_converter_tmp_backup\2026-03-29-16-38-35-078\outframe and for some reason it’s upscaling 1920×1080 to 7680×4320 nearly an 8K video frame size…. it’s not supposed to go above 4K video size!

I don’t have over 3 hours to wait so I’m cancelling this… note you can check those PNG outframe files to ensure it’s actually processing the video and producing some output and to those that feel unable to enter the license code any chance you tried an earlier giveaway of it and registered that and this re-install just re-used the previous installations license?

to d/l & install, AV flagged it as an exploit, took a chance, restored it from quarantine, and ran it anyway, it registered OK from the hamburger menu ‘register’ item. I have an AMD Vulkan-able cpu. Selected a short video. started conversion on normal, not fast. after about a 1/2 hr no progress at all. I have uninstalled it.

Just for comparison, i tried the same video that wouldn’t work in ‘Handbrake’ – using AMD GPU to upscale it to 1440p from 720p and it converted it in 25 minutes.
