Guess what. I downloaded a copy of the program from another website: https://www.novapdf.com/previous-versions.html. I then got a trial version. After it ran and worked properly, I put the activation key in, activated it, and now the program works just fine. Thanks Ashraf for the great giveaway. Hopefully, this will help anyone going through the same problem I had.
