Program will ONLY register IF run as ADMIN.
To CHANGE output path, edit path.ini (in programs install-Dir) with Notepad.
(c:\PDFOCR_output\ … to what ever :D)

Bizarre, but you are absolutely right! You have to have a PDF open to be able to input the key sucessfully… Thank you very much for giving us the solution! Something the software writers need to know about as they ask for improvements…

I had the same problem with the program not staying registered but did not get invalid password message. It seemed to work every time. Finally I ran the program as administrator and the registration stuck the first time. The registration process is still very poorly designed, but it did work.

a pop up will appear and it will say it got registered but when you open the software it will say its not registered, the serial code is not working. Thanks

Put together all the above suggestions, and this works:

– run the program AS ADMINISTRATOR to ensure it has the right to update the registration key
– select Scanned PDF to Text
– open a PDF file
– from the About menu, select Register
– enter the serial key
– restart the program

Hi, yes, it’s running well for registration but …………
but what a weak software it is … no adjustments possible, not even for simply choose the destination folder for OCR files, production of a simple text file studded with meaningless signs at each occurrence of an unknown sign in the text original, multiple cut of lines, obligation to choose the language each time, start-up in a reduced reduced window …
pfff … what a pain for use that sort of software …

I did doing the steps:

1 – Install
2 – Open the app and select image to PDF
3 – Click on menu “About –> Register”
4 – Copy and paste de Serial Number
5 – Erase the 1st letter and type again

it worked for me
