[@Chemtable Software] That’s news but there is NO REASON to leave auto-update option checked regardless as long as updates to the SOS licensed version are not allowed… It is normal for update checks to inform giveaway users of updates but not warn them that applying the update will invalidate the giveaway license. If you have added code to recognise single version licenses maybe you should make that code disable auto-update check and grey out the control in the UI to let the users know it won’t even check for updates that are incompatible with the single version license?

A suggestion for the clean up function is to truncate the Windows Defender protections history as just a several entries in the history will make the UI sloooooow at populating, normally involves some pretty heavy handed delete on reboot of a bunch of folders to clear the history, a simple program that cleans it with or without reboot would be useful. I can do it manually but the vast majority of users cannot and have to wait minutes for the list to populate each time a new attempt to access protected resources occurs until one can allow the access.

We have chosen to keep notification enabled to inform users about new versions. While we provide certain versions for free through promotions, our business model relies on users upgrading to paid licenses for continued development and support. This notification is a low-intrusion way to make users aware of that option.

We believe this is a fair balance, as it provides a clear warning while also letting users know about the ongoing evolution of the software.

You need to click on the symbol … (Ellipsis), the second line from the top

I will compare with “Glary Utilities 5” (with a lifetime license, old version)

I have followed the instructions for entering the key, and it will not accept it. I copied and paste, and it continues to say “Please check the correctness of the keys entered.”

I tried to register the license key, but the app doesn’t have any option in Help.
