SnapText is built for broader productivity workflows with AI-powered features, Chrome extension support, Smart Layout, and more. The credits are only used for AI processing, which has ongoing compute costs.

We’d like to clarify a few points:

SnapText is a cloud-based platform, allowing users to access their account and data across devices.
Regarding privacy, you’re right that this is an important consideration. We recently updated our website to include dedicated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages in the footer for easier access.
We take user privacy and security seriously and use secure, encrypted connections to protect data in transit. Users can only access content associated with their own authenticated accounts.We appreciate your feedback, and we’re continuously improving both the product and the information we provide to users.

in your terms page you have a paragraph that states:

The Service may rely on third parties (hosting, authentication, payments, analytics, AI/OCR providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services we do not control.
that directly contradicts your privacy policy
We do not store your uploaded images or files after processing is finished.
We do not use your content for advertising, profiling, or secondary commercial purposes.
We do not train AI or machine-learning models on your images, PDFs, screenshots, or extracted text.Since the AI/OCR cloud service is not provided by YOU on YOUR SERVERS you cannot determine how the data we upload is used by them, you even disclaim responsibility and say our use of those services may be subject to their terms… WHO ARE THEY? What are their terms and privacy policy? Your privacy policy is meaningless as our data is passed on to unidentified 3rd parties with an interest in monetizing our data!

SnapText does not sell user data, and user content is processed only to provide the requested service. We also implement industry-standard security measures to help protect user data.
Regarding the AI features, thanks for pointing that out. We’ll review the pricing page to ensure it accurately reflects the current feature set and update it where needed.[@Brent] Thank you for raising these concerns.
You’re right that we should be clearer about the third-party services we use. Our Privacy Policy reflects how SnapText handles user data, and we only work with trusted providers whose privacy commitments align with ours, including providers that state they do not use customer content to train Al models.
It’s also worth clarifying that not every operation in SnapText uses Al. Standard text extraction is performed using OCR. Al is only used for features where it adds value-for example, improving results from blurry or difficult-to-read content, enhancing text quality, or powering advanced features such as Smart
Layout.
We do not sell user data or use uploaded content to train Al models. We’ll also be updating our documentation to clearly identify the third-party services we use and explain their role in processing data.

In the meantime, could you let us know which registration link you’re using? If possible, please also share a screenshot of the SSL error message or the exact URL where it occurs. That will help us identify and resolve the issue more quickly.
We’ll provide an update as soon as we’ve identified the cause.Your site to register is not working, showing that the site is refusing the connection or closed the connection before sending the page.
From the reviews, I’m not sure it’s worth trying, so if I can’t get on soon, I’ll just give up on it.
