Created in Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin’s Creed is Ubisoft’s biggest franchise ever.
Revealed at E3 2006, Assassin’s Creed puts the audience in the middle of an ancient war between two age old factions: the Assassins, who fight to protect free and the Templars, who aspire to impose a New World Order.
Throughout history, these two groups have been fighting for the fate of humanity. In the Present, the Templars are close to realizing their dream of dominion by using ancient artifacts known collectively as Pieces of Eden. Among other things, these artifacts have the power to influence the human mind and control the masses.
With the development of the Animus, a device that allows for the projection of genetic memories buried deep within a subject’s DNA, Abstergo Industries —a Templar front—has been abducting people in the hopes of locating these lost artifacts.
From Italian Renaissance to the Russian Revolution, the player meets real historical heroes, take part to event and shapes its own destiny. From one episode to the other, the creative teams have constantly added new layers of interactions and new gameplays making each world deeper and more fascinating.

Reviews for Assassin’s Creed III
Having released its first franchise back in 2016, Ubisoft has always been in the works. True to that, Assassin’s Creed III is the fifth and most successful installment in Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series. At the time of its release in 2012, this action-adventure video game was supported in PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Microsoft Windows.
Overview
Since Assassin’s Creed III (AC3) was a direct sequel to its 2011 version, Revelations, I expected it to deliver an awesome playing experience. After you are through with the installation process, you will be welcomed to an ambitious and bold game with a story line that spans two important eras. Through the two eras that cover over thirty years in which you will get to relieve real American history through the game as you take part in action in the open sea, bustling cities, and hostile wilderness.
Pros
Experiencing the American Revolution Once More
Right off the bat, AC3 stands out based on its epic storyline. As you play game from a third-person viewpoint, you will be at the middle of the battle between Assassins and Templars. As it covers the full scope of the American Revolution. The action changes between cities like New York, Boston, and Massachusetts. As s parkour-based gameplay, you will enjoy the carefully stage violence, and stealth and swashbuckling combat.
Appealing Graphics
One of the important things that makes a game stand out is its graphics and rendering. AC3 easily scores in this aspect. From the wilderness environments to the fictionalized cities like Massachusetts, everything feels and looks smooth. Such nice graphics work to further revamp the playing experience than in AC2 as you worry less or not worry at all about the end of missions.
Cons
Prolonged Loading Time
When you launch the game and get ready to dive into action, you will definitely notice the loading time. The seemingly long time for loading will play its part in instilling patience into you.
May Not Be Welcoming to Non-gamers
Just like other serious games with great graphics that support Windows Microsoft, you will have to take into account the amount of space required during downloading and installing. In the case of AC3, you will need over 15 GB. Such a big file may not be friendly to non-gamers.
Conclusion
Assassin’s Creed III comes across as an ambitious piece of game compared to its predecessors. However, everything does not pan out as expected especially the slow start to the game. Although the graphics are below par compared to current graphics, it is still a nice piece worth downloading and playing before this offer period expires.
Assasins creed III
Assassin’s creed III is undoubtedly one of the iconic installments to Ubisoft’s now popular Assassin’s creed franchise. Even though the game published backed in 2012, it is still an amazing freebie bearing in mind that most of the modern day computers (core i something processors or their equivalent) can easily play the game on maximum settings. This Ubisoft 30th anniversary giveaway is definitely going to spruce up your games store and even give you some great throw back content for the weekend.
Cons
A Captivating Storyline
The storyline is more of a detective/assassination ploy that will have you gather intel on your target, track him down as you handle some minor assassinations and finally complete the game with that one high profile kill. The solid plot development and the historic weaponry will always put you in the mood and remind me of the time the game is set on.
The open world interaction is so free it will give you a chance to pick fights and help the masses when you want while the generous content on the liberation of Boston tightly revolve around the historically correct story making the game as informative as it is fun to play.
Super Low System Requirements
The very low system requirements are courtesy of the fast evolving PC capabilities. The original specs where for Pentium processors and most of the modern Core based Intel pieces will handle the game without stutters. You will find the gameplay excellent and fulfilling and in most cases would enjoy it in a way you never did before (assuming you did before)
Cons
The Graphics Might Seem Odd
Video games have grown in leaps and bounds in the last couple of years. The graphics on Assassin’s Creed III might look old and offputting. But hey, this isn’t a remaster. I have to say, they didn’t look so bad on my side and the game was as captivating as it was when I first played it back in 2013.
Did I mention you will have to download around 16GB of data to own the game?
Verdict
Assassins Creed III was and still is an amazing title. It is a perfect give away to anyone who didn’t play it in the first step or just needs to increase the number of games on their Uplay account. Grab your copy ASAP as the offer is limited.

Does it need Steam though? If so, this would be good to know since Steam is a third party download and install and you cannot run games fully without it installed or running.
No, it needs the uplay store though
I cannot play this game once downloading the 16 gb, as it says invalid format tried turning off 3D in nvidia control panel, but it is a waste of time
