An Utility For Freeing Up Disk Space
Easy to use disk analyzer. It works with user files and folders, rather than system files. It allows seeing what info occupies the media in your PC: photos, documents, movies, music, and more. You can view all these and delete the unwanted files, if necessary.
Files Inspector Pro has a special function for compressing photos without losing their quality. This can help reduce the disk space occupied by photographs by approximately 10%.
For more advanced users, there is an analyzer that allows you to view data on all media, rather than only the selected user folders.

I agree – very interesting software.
I noticed a significant decrease in speed due to settings of my AV/Antimalware program
if it’s set to also scan every file that Files Inspector is scanning.
A change in settings of the AV program alleviated that problem
“Files Inspector Pro has a special function for compressing photos without losing their quality.”
This is not possible. If you can see the processed photos with an ordinary file viewer after they’ve been compressed, the quality has been diminished because pixels have been thrown away. I see a bogus claim like this, I suspect the entire utility package of being less than great.
The only lossless compression is with using utilities like PKZIP and WINRAR. But with those, you can’t see the photos until you decompress them again.
There is no free lunch.

well, it …. is complicated (as almost ever )
1st: You can find some information at Wikipedia: “JPEG#Lossless_further_compression”
2nd: … or try a more practical approach while looking for “packJPG”
have fun – and never stop learning ;-)

Slower scanning of files when compared to freeware WinDirStat but works nevertheless thanks to Chemtable devs who make quality applications.
