Watchdog Anti-Malware, our highly acclaimed multi-engine anti-malware software helps keep your computer secure.
Watchdog Anti-Malware is a second-layer, second-opinion cloud-based multi-engine malware scanner designed to protect your computer from malware that your primary anti-virus misses.
Why cloud-based multi-engine scanning?
In the modern world, multi-layer security is essential to protect your valuable personal information from cyber-criminals. In 2014, more than 317 million new malware threats were released. No single engine can detect all threats, so having only one anti- virus engine is no longer sufficient. Only by using real-time, multi-engine scanning technology can you ensure that no threat goes undetected. That’s why WATCHDOG Anti-Malware uses multiple scanning engines to keep you protected.
Improve your security
WATCHDOG Anti-Malware uses our Cloud Scanning Platform, a highly optimized cluster of servers running 6 anti-virus engines with all the latest updates. This provides you with the power of multi-engine scanning without any of the downsides such as drains on system resources or conflicts between programs. Fast scanning and malware removal WATCHDOG Anti-Malware is extremely optimized and lightweight. Our software engineers designed it to work out of the box without the need to tinker with confusing settings. Simply start a scan and wait a few minutes while it searches your computer and eliminates threats.
How It Works
Step 1. First you simply start a scan.
Step 2. WATCHDOG Anti-Malware analyzes your files and when our software finds a suspicious file, it passes the fingerprint to our Cloud Scanning Platform where 6 different anti-virus engines perform checks. Milliseconds later, our Cloud Scanning Platform marks the file as safe or malicious, or else asks WATCHDOG Anti-Malware to upload it for further examination.
Step 3. WATCHDOG Anti-Malware rapidly sets about removing any confirmed malicious software.

Reviews for Watchdog Anti-Malware
WatchDog Anti-Malware is a perfect way to do computer and file scans. You will need to know what you are up to if you are to keep your system safe and avoid deleting useful files and applications unknowingly. I think it needs some bit of expertise to use successfully.
very good
Easier interface than a lot, however had a lot of false positives, especially other utilities I know are safe. On the good side, I had the option to mark these safe or take other actions. As someone else said, you need to know what you are doing to use this one, you might accidently delete something you need. That being said, I am keeping this one for a while to check further. Last anti-malware I tried, I removed within 5 minutes as being junk.
Watchdog anti-malware is a reliable computer cleaner and scanner that will help you protect your computer by getting rid of any malicious software and files before they wreck your system. While choosing the best anti-malware is never that simple especially with a market teeming with options, I always lookout for flexibility, efficiency, user interfaces and the number of false warnings the software gives me with each scan I run. Here is how Watchdog Anti-Malware fared on.
At a glance
Watchdog Anti-Malware uses a conventional approach to fighting malware. It will give you the regular deep scan and smart scans that focus on doing speed and comprehensiveness tradeoffs to ensure that you do the right scan at the right time. Personally, I always do many quick scans and only schedule a deep scan for a day I will be away. I found Watchdogs idea to give me these two options quite convenient.
Since the anti-malware compares any suspicious objects with an online database before advising you on what to do, you might have to stay online if you are to get the best results and recommendations with each scan.
Pros
Comprehensive scans with suggestive reports
Each of the scans will compare the findings to a cloud based scanning platform fingerprint. Well, this, to me wasn’t enough. I had to try it. I downloaded the latest malware signature pack, saved it in my ‘experimental’ computer and ran a scan. WatchDog Anti-Malware had no trouble in identifying most of the malware even though a couple, say 8% went unnoticed.
Take action on detected items
WatchDog took the anti-malware software a step further by giving it the quarantine, delete or repair options. I found the power to dictate each and every action it takes on malware quite useful as there was a couple of false alerts on harmless Active-X applications. You can always decide what to keep and what to delete.
A convenient file scanner
Tired of navigating to a folder or partition to scan it? How about just dragging and dropping it to the scan section and everything is good to go. This is one of the most interesting things I found on the WatchDog antimalware scanner. With this, I can check each new file without necessarily running a complete disk scan.
A white list
The whitelist is my solution to false alerts. You can whitelist directories, or files to avoid the danger of deleting them permanently in future. This is a tiresome but powerful workaround to the false alerts.
Cons
Lots of false alerts
You will have to carefully go through your captured malware before deleting anything. I didn’t find WatchDog’s malware database that impressive and it could always make do with an helping hand.
Verdict
WatchDog Anti-Malware is a perfect way to do computer and file scans. You will need to know what you are up to if you are to keep your system safe and avoid deleting useful files and applications unknowingly. I think it needs some bit of expertise to use successfully.
Poor scanning recognition. Picking on a new Firefox browser and SlimCleaner, Both of which I am confident are completely Kosher. Not even close to the type of scanning capability of which I was looking for. Therefore not trusting of this program.
