Official Product Description

Control your computer by making gestures in front of your webcam.

This is the greatly improved version of the popular freeware edition of GiMeSpace Cam Control. The Pro version uses even less CPU power, has an improved recognition algorithm and now enables you to simulate left and right mouse clicks!

Control your computer with movements is easy by simply making gestures in front of your webcam. You can simulate mouse movements, mouse clicks, the keyboard cursor keys, or control the GiMeSpace virtual desktop managers. This is useful when you need to have some distance from your computer so you can remotely control it. Also people with disabilities can make use of this program.

This program allows you to control your computer by making movements with a flat hand in front of your webcam. There are 5 gestures:

– move in horizontal direction while your hand is vertical.
– move in vertical direction while your hand is horizontal.
– move in horizontal direction with 2 hands making a ‘zooming’ gesture.
– left mouse click by moving your hand in the left upper corner.
– right mouse click by doing the left click plus moving the right hand in the
right upper corner.

To control a GiMeSpace virtual desktop manager, you need to use one that is capable of this. These are the minimum versions that support this:

GiMeSpace Desktop Extender version 2.3.0
GiMeSpace Desktop Extender 3D version 3.1.0

You can adjust the sensitivity and the scroll/movement speeds by adjusting the trackbars. You will need to experiment a bit to find the ideal settings.

While developing this program most effort was made to minimize the load on your cpu so that it can even be run on low powered netbooks and does not affect other programs that much. This is a major difference with other cam tracking software (like camspace, face track etc), they are using way to much cpu power! GiMeSpace Cam Control uses about 4% load on a 2Ghz dual core and about 15% on a 1.6Ghz single core netbook.

What Does GiMeSpace Cam Control Pro Do?

GiMeSpace Cam Control Pro is a utility designed to facilitate touch-free computer interaction via a standard webcam. By tracking flat-hand gestures, the software translates physical movements into digital commands, serving as a replacement or supplement for traditional input devices. This tool is particularly useful for remote computer management or as an assistive technology for users with physical disabilities.

The application recognizes five distinct gestures:

  • Horizontal movement: Performed with a vertical hand.
  • Vertical movement: Performed with a horizontal hand.
  • Zooming: A horizontal gesture using two hands.
  • Left mouse click: Moving a hand into the upper left corner of the frame.
  • Right mouse click: A combination of the left-click gesture and moving the right hand to the upper right corner.

Beyond basic mouse emulation, the software can simulate keyboard cursor keys or integrate with GiMeSpace virtual desktop managers, specifically Desktop Extender version 2.3.0 and Desktop Extender 3D version 3.1.0 or later. A key focus of this Pro version is hardware efficiency; it utilizes an optimized recognition algorithm to minimize CPU impact, making it viable for low-powered netbooks. Users can fine-tune the experience through adjustable sensitivity and movement speed trackbars to suit their specific hardware environment.

If you have ever watched a science fiction film where the protagonist swiped through holographic data screens with a mere wave of their hand, you have likely felt a twinge of jealousy. We have been promised the "future of interface" for decades, yet most of us are still hunched over a plastic mouse and a mechanical keyboard, battling carpal tunnel and cable clutter. But what if I told you that the future is already sitting right on top of your monitor? Your humble webcam is no longer just for awkward video calls; with the right software, it becomes a high-tech motion sensor. Today, we are looking at the Pro version of GiMeSpace Cam Control, a piece of software that turns your ambient environment into an interactive workspace. Here is why you need to grab this giveaway immediately.

1. Revolutionary Touchless Interaction

The primary draw of GiMeSpace Cam Control is the sheer "wow" factor of touchless interaction. We live in an era where we are constantly trying to find ways to make our digital lives more fluid. This software allows you to step back from your computer and still maintain total control. Imagine you are in the kitchen following a recipe on your laptop; your hands are covered in flour, and you need to scroll down to the next step. Instead of ruining your hardware, you simply wave your hand in the air, and the page moves. This is the level of convenience we are talking about.

The software utilizes an incredibly smart algorithm that tracks a flat hand in front of the lens. It recognizes five distinct gestures that cover the vast majority of your daily computing needs. By moving your hand vertically or horizontally, you can mimic the directional movement of a mouse or the arrow keys. This isn't just a gimmick; it is a fundamental shift in how you perceive your workstation. You are no longer "at" your computer; you are "interacting" with it within your physical space. Whether you are giving a presentation and need to switch slides from across the room or you are just lounging on your couch watching a movie and want to adjust the volume, the freedom this provides is unparalleled. It is the ultimate tool for anyone who values mobility and modern convenience.

2. Industry-Leading CPU Efficiency

One of the biggest hurdles for motion-tracking software has always been the "resource tax." Most programs that attempt to analyze video feeds in real-time are notorious for hogging the processor. If you have ever tried other camera-tracking suites, you likely noticed your computer fans spinning up like a jet engine, leading to system lag that makes the gesture control more frustrating than it is worth. This is where GiMeSpace Cam Control Pro truly shatters the competition.

The developers have put a massive amount of effort into optimization. While other programs might consume 30% to 50% of your CPU power just to track a single finger, this software is designed to be lean and mean. On a standard 2GHz dual-core processor, you are looking at a negligible load of about 4%. Even if you are rocking an older, single-core netbook (the kind usually relegated to the back of a drawer), it only uses about 15% of the resources. This means you can keep it running in the background all day without it affecting your gaming, your video rendering, or your web browsing. This is efficiency at its finest. It makes the software accessible to everyone, regardless of whether they have a five-thousand-dollar gaming PC or a budget-friendly student laptop. By downloading this, you are getting a pro-level tool that respects your hardware's limits while expanding its capabilities.

3. Full Mouse and Keyboard Simulation

The transition from the freeware version to the Pro version is where the magic really happens. In the basic versions of similar software, you are often limited to just moving the cursor. While that is cool, it’s only half the battle. You still have to lean in to click. GiMeSpace Cam Control Pro solves this by introducing sophisticated gesture-based clicking. By moving your hand into the upper left corner of the camera’s field of view, you can trigger a left-click. If you need a right-click, a specific combination movement with your other hand does the trick. It even supports a "zooming" gesture using two hands moving horizontally, which is a game-changer for photo editing or navigating large maps.

The software doesn't just stop at mouse emulation; it can also simulate the keyboard cursor keys. This opens up a world of possibilities for gaming and productivity. You can play simple arcade games or navigate through complex spreadsheets using nothing but hand movements. The recognition algorithm in the Pro version has been significantly improved over its predecessors, meaning there is less "jitter" and more precision. You can even adjust the sensitivity and movement speeds via built-in trackbars. This customization is crucial because everyone’s lighting conditions and hand sizes are different. You can fine-tune the software until it feels like an extension of your own body. This isn't just a mouse replacement; it’s a full-system remote control.

4. Unmatched Accessibility Support

Beyond the "cool factor" for tech enthusiasts, there is a deeply humanitarian side to this software. For individuals living with disabilities that make using a traditional mouse or keyboard difficult—such as repetitive strain injuries, advanced arthritis, or limited motor function in the hands—GiMeSpace Cam Control Pro is a literal life-changer. The traditional "point and click" interface can be a significant barrier to the digital world, but this software lowers that barrier significantly.

Because the software tracks a flat hand and requires relatively large, simple movements rather than fine-motor twitching, it is much easier for many users to operate. It allows someone who might struggle to grip a mouse to navigate the internet, write emails, and engage with social media. The fact that it is so lightweight means it can be installed on dedicated accessibility computers without fear of crashes or slow-downs. As a tech reviewer, I always look for software that does more than just "perform a task"—I look for software that empowers the user. This program provides independence to those who might have felt sidelined by traditional hardware designs. If you know someone who struggles with standard input devices, this giveaway is the perfect opportunity to set them up with a more inclusive way to use their PC.

5. Seamless Virtual Desktop Integration

Finally, we have to talk about the synergy with the GiMeSpace ecosystem. If you are a power user, you are likely already familiar with virtual desktop managers. These programs allow you to extend your desktop far beyond the physical borders of your monitor, creating a massive workspace where windows can be tucked away to the left or right. When you combine GiMeSpace Cam Control Pro with the GiMeSpace Desktop Extender (specifically version 2.3.0 or higher) or the Desktop Extender 3D (version 3.1.0 or higher), you turn your computer into a sprawling digital canvas.

Instead of clicking and dragging windows or using complex hotkeys to switch between desktops, you can simply wave your hand to pan your entire view. It feels incredibly natural—almost like you are physically moving a camera across a long table of documents. This level of integration is what separates a "utility" from an "ecosystem." By using gestures to manage a virtual desktop, you maximize your productivity. You can have your email on the "far left," your coding environment in the "center," and your research tabs on the "far right," navigating between them instantly with a flick of the wrist. It’s a sophisticated way to work that mimics how we handle physical objects in the real world. For anyone who feels cramped by a single monitor setup, this combination of software is the ultimate solution.

In conclusion, GiMeSpace Cam Control Pro is one of those rare pieces of software that feels like it belongs in a different decade. It takes a piece of hardware you already own—your webcam—and gives it a whole new set of "eyes." The combination of low CPU usage, improved recognition, mouse simulation, and accessibility makes this a must-download. Most programs of this type are either too clunky to be useful or too heavy to be practical. GiMeSpace has found the "Goldilocks zone," offering a sleek, efficient, and highly functional tool that genuinely changes how you interact with your PC. Whether you want it for the futuristic convenience, the productivity boost of virtual desktops, or the essential accessibility features, there is no reason to pass this up. Download it, spend a few minutes adjusting the sensitivity bars to your liking, and start living in the future today. You’ll never look at your webcam the same way again.

The Pro version's ability to simulate mouse clicks really is the "killer feature" here. In previous iterations or in lesser freeware versions, you were always stuck in a "look but don't touch" scenario. You could move the cursor, but you'd have to jump back to the hardware to actually execute an action. By bridging that gap, this software becomes a standalone interface. The gesture for a left click—moving your hand to the top left—is intuitive and quick to learn. The right-click gesture, while requiring a bit more practice with the two-hand coordination, becomes second nature after a few tries. It turns your workspace into a reactive environment that responds to your presence.

Don't let the simplicity of the interface fool you. While the UI is straightforward and focuses on functionality over flashy graphics, the underlying technology is robust. The trackbars for sensitivity and speed are your best friends. I recommend starting with lower sensitivity to get a feel for how the camera tracks your hand, and then slowly increasing the speed as you become more confident with the gestures. Make sure your room is well-lit, as the camera needs to see the edges of your hand clearly to function at its peak. Once you have it dialed in, you will wonder how you ever got by without it. This is a top-tier giveaway for anyone who wants to push their PC setup into the next generation of user interface design.

Final Tip: When setting this up, try to position your webcam at eye level. This helps the recognition algorithm distinguish between your hand and your background more effectively. Also, remember that since this is the Pro version, you are getting the most optimized experience possible. Enjoy the freedom of a hands-free computer and the sheer fun of controlling your digital world with a wave of your hand!
