Picked this up on another giveaway on April 16, version 3.6.2. Works great for me, most reliable of the copy programs I have. Clone back up of my sets of the older recordings Babylon 5 and Farscape. No newer recordings with later copy protection attempted yet. Only problems seem to be burner-related. Occasionally failed to initialize disc on my newest BluRay burner Pioneer BDR-209D. Worked fine on an older Pioneer DVR-212D and an external Samsung that identifies as TSST SE208AB.

[@Tony S] Hello Tony, on one computer, users can only run one WinXDVD product at a time. So you need to end it firstly. If you can’t find the icon after running the program, you can use ALT+TAB to switch between windows.

Still have questions? please feel free to contact Digiarty support team at and tell them your problems in details.

Hey everyone, I love this program as it is the best one I have found that puts all my DVDs onto hard drive beautifully. This saves me whenever my physical DVDs from get ruined or distorted from age by overuse. This version installed and ran perfectly on my Acer Win8 64bit.
As for the comments on being illegal – this is down to your own conscience on being honest and backing up your own property. In the past I have had to chuck out DVDs due to wear and tear, but now I can still have them on my hard drive – which I think is great.
Thank you WinX and Ashraf for this fabulous program :)))))

[@Tony S] Hello Tony, you can try to re-install it again and run as admin. It will be more convenient for you to run the program from a desktop icon, or you can also find it from Start – program file folder – Digiarty. Hope it will be of some help. :)

D/L and registration were okay. WinX DVD Copy Pro runs fine, but after closing it I can’t run it again. There isn’t a message — just a brief hourglass when clicking it’s icon. Need to run Task Manager (where it’s listed as a running process) and end it there. That’s the only way to re-run after closing initial load. Any ideas?

We have explained to Ashraf and all SoS readers regarding that issue, and promised it won’t happen again. This time, Ashraf choose to post our official Spring promo – WinX DVD Copy Pro giveaway on his website, I think he has accepted our apology, and believes in WinXDVD products & giveaway promo. So, please, competitors, don’t hold onto it.

@Everyone having issues with Chrome blocking the download: I don’t know why that is happening, but I’ve uploaded a download mirror. Grab it from us again to get the download mirror.

@Everyone having registration issues: The license key is 100% valid. However, sometimes there are issues with registration. What you need to do is uninstall WinX DVD Copy Pro, restart your computer, and reinstall it. That often solves the issue.

[@Bruce] You must have missed the huge dust-up when Digiarty gave away lifetime licenses on some software that they revoked about a month later. @One refers to the fact that their software “phones home” whenever you open it, giving Digiarty access to their files on your harddrive (and possibly the harddrive itself). This makes many people uncomfortable, and wary of this company’s software. Other companies do this too (Adobe!) but it is uncertain how reputable (and safe) Digiarty is.

PS. This is Build 3.6.1 (updating from previous give-away version). and BR-IJDIEEJQ-YWKDKL worked fine for me for activating this. (Win 7, SP1 x64). So…. hit and miss I guess for some.

    (1) interesting that this download is a *.exe version instead of the usual *.RAR file. (2) Chrome does indeed give a “Malicious File” error and blocks the file. However, If you click ‘dismiss’ and go to the download directory where it was downloaded and run it, all will install fine.

FWIW might want to get this sort of app while you can… DVDFab domains were shut down [they reopened with new domains almost immediately] because of a court action in the US. There wasn’t a court verdict or judgement — they just didn’t appear in court, so the judge issued the unusual orders removing them from the parts of the Internet the US has control over [.com vs. .cn], forbidding any US companies from dealing with them etc. I’ve no idea if this is part of a new push by the movie studios, the start of increased efforts by the US gov, or no more than a single court action. Likewise I don’t know if anyone can predict with certainty what comes next, now that the studios have seen how successful this one court action was from their point of view. I’m sure Ashraf’s watching the whole situation carefully — should the US gov decide software to bypass DVD/Blu-Ray DRM is illegal, he might have to scrub the site, since Homeland Security has demonstrated how they’ll just seize a domain name/address without any legal action whatsoever. That said, I’m no lawyer, but from what I’ve read the judge’s decision was based on DVDFab’s developers not appearing in court, so no one ruled, Yet, that this type of software is in fact illegal.

For those reporting anti-virus software &/or browser-based alerts, I didn’t have any problems with ie11 or Bitdefender. One reason I’m using Bitdefender is that several other brands [e.g. McAfee] have declared that they are going to start protecting their users from the dangers of anything that may be used for or connected somehow to content piracy. Whether that has anything to do with what I assume are false positives I have no idea. I have read concerning the above court order that Google was mentioned in the order itself, forbidding them to in any way assist DVDFab’s parent company. Are they being a bit proactive in this case? I’ve no idea.

[@One] Why would you think deactivating the license code by Digiarty is a hack? They have that right if it is stated in the giveaway offer and/or in their license. Some offers are limited to one year, etc.
Perhaps the people having problems have tried to update to the latest version. See the Terms and Conditions above: “No free updates; if you update the program, you may lose it.”
I have three different giveaways from Digiarty and have never had my license deactivated.

    Reply to this comment#39OLD COMMENT

I’ll pass on this one, because of the following reason:

Attention! >>Possible<< hack inside that can deactivate your license code at their will. I like being careful what I do with my money. How do I know, many people complained few months ago, here and on other websites that all the program versions given as a giveaway stopped working (those versions were given for Halloween, Christmas and who knows what other versions).
I am writing this message because it is unacceptable, and should be for every person, that the products of this company should continue to be sold or given away as promotion without a proof that the installer/installed program would not have a hack installed inside. Digiarty Software programs are unsafe and today it is known.

Update. Uninstalled using Advanced Uninstaller Pro; redownloaded, installed, registered as administrator (not just administrator account). This time the program restarted my computer during installation (HP I3 Win7). Each time I place a music disk in the drive, Ashampoo comes up and has to be closed. Maybe that’s part of the problem. Seems this program should take care of previous associations with file types and auto starts during installation. Yes? Still won’t work. Instantly says it has done task it does not do no matter what target or function selected (or defaults). Looks like a great program. But…. like we used to say in the automotive business, “maybe it’s the loose nut behind the steering wheel.”

  49. fatherrichard

    Reply to this comment#18OLD COMMENT

D/L fine. Installed fine. Registered fine. Can’t read disk in burner. Browse to it, leave default target or browse to new target and program says copied almost instantly. No iso made. Constant message that there is no dvd selected until browse to it, even though it shows in the program window. Clone function works the same, or maybe doesn’t work the same. Hardware works fine for Ashampoo Burning Studio 13. Keep getting O.S. system messages (What do you want to do with this DVD?) that might be knocking this program out of control or something like that. Looks like great program, but just can’t get to work no matter what options or changes I try.
