BobGuestThank you Ashraf & Ez System Repairs!
I give this one a try, I am using Windows 10 latest update version.
I had an issue with the software crashing. I never got around to actually trying it with any games.
After I ran the “All System Tweaks” I just tried it using my browser and a couple other programs to see if there was a performance improvement. There seemed to be a great performance boost, but the Ez Game Booster Pro crashed with an unhandled exception error. So I never got around to trying it with any games. The problem I have is that since it crashed, when I ran the software again it didn’t show that any tweaks had been applied, but even worse the option to RESTORE was not working at all. Meaning, it left me wondering since it crashed if the changes the tweaks had made were still applied. That is a big issue because if they were still applied and I run “All System Tweaks” again then when selecting “Restore” I am wondering if it will restore to the applied tweaks?
This would be a much better software if there was an option to backup to a file your current settings in case of the situation I just mentioned.
Sure you could use System Restore, but I don’t like System Restore, it has failed me more times than it has helped me so I keep that turned off and instead opt for having a complete Image backup for PC disasters.
Like I said, from what little I tried I could see the performance boost, it’s just that I couldn’t see what it actually had done.
Thanks again!
Peter BlaiseGuest.
EZ Game Booster v6 v1.6.3 v1.0.6.3 ( the program does not know what version it is itself ! )— draws ( paints ) itself really poorly on screen, coming in as a series of information fill in, slowly, rather than appearing as one full display of information, sometimes the background is white, sometimes black, but whenever I click on a different [ tab ], the display becomes a mishmash of old and new information, taking many slow painful seconds to watch as it tries to draw new information and overwrite old information, quite an unholy mess,
— not resizable screen,
— [ Options ] does not respond to clicking, so I have no idea what [ Options ] there might be, and I cannot change the temperature display from Celcius to Farenheit to match my current display report from Hard Disk Sentinel.
I’m glad I have Kerish Doctor watching, because some changes that EZ Game Booster made, then Kerish Doctor immediately popped up and offered to undo … yup, the descriptions offered by EZ Game Booster were so ambiguous, and were awkward interpretations on what “boosting” means, that without Kerish Doctor, I would have de-tuned my computer.
Here’s the challenge with auto tuning … for example, if I accept a longer ( slower ) boot because it’s defragging files before Windows loads, files that Windows can’t defrag, that will make my computer run more responsively ( and make the files more recoverable after a crash ), BUT, it’s a longer ( slower ) boot, so … given all that, what would a “boost” actually be?
One camp claims that a faster ( quicker ) boot is a boost RIGHT NOW, and turns off boot defrag.
Another camp claims that boot defragging boosts performance AFTER defrag.
So, if the program had TWO modes, perhaps one labeled [ BOOST RIGHT NOW ] and another labeled [ BOOSTED AFTER TWEAKING AND REBOOT ], then we might eliminate the ambiguity of the current poorly explained boost settings, and we could choose which we want — boost right now, or boost after tweaking and reboot.
EZ Game Booster presents and performs like a beta test, perhaps it’s really v0.1.0.6.3.
And definitely NOT “pro”.
Test PC:
Windows 7 64 Pro, HP 2260 MHz x2, 4 GB RAM, Mobile Intel 4 Express
.Peter BlaiseGuest.
… and clicking [ Support ] brings up a 404 not found web page, oy.And their web home page calls this v1.6.3, so now we have 3 different self-identified versions:
– v1.0.6.3 — the file
– v1.6.3 — their claims
– v6 — the program screen itself… ALL for the same program.
And it’s using 36% of my CPU … so how is 64% left for Windows and me a BOOST, huh?
Gonna take our feedback and come up with a fix, Weathers EZ System Repairs?
Thanks.
.HarFanGGuestTwo things to know :
1- Operating Systems on a SSD doesn’t need to be speeded up. It’s the smartest way to have a very short boot time. Faster than a classic harddisk ;
2- A *true* gamer has already deactivated all useless crap that’s not needed when he want to play. It’s my case. So, thank you. But no, thanks.
Michelle D TerrinoniGuestEZ game booster does stop some applications that take up Ram and CPU power on your machine that you do not use when you play games. You can change what it stops from running, Like by default spotify is on the list if you have it. I find it does give about a 5-10 FPS boost on most games I play like CS:GO and Unturned.
Overall, I would say it works quite good. It may work even better on lower end PCs, Or older PC’s.
Jim JonesGuest“EZ Game Booster increased my computer’s performance, it’s a great tool. The memory optimizer feature is automatic which I think is pretty cool as well!”
MarkGuestDoesn’t work for me, actually freezes my system when I try to launch the program!
John MatthewGuest“So far so good as this tool identifies unnecessary programs running in my desktop and suspend those while i am playing games to enhance my gaming experience as well as automatically defrags. Another good thing is you can use it with your other programs not just while playing games. “
Chris DeanGuestI like EZ Game Booster for gaming, it really streamlines things. You have to get the hang of it though, at first it’s a hassle in itself because you have to get it all set up and learn to use it. After a while though, it makes gaming a breeze.
